CES_williamson
i noticed at my most recent skirmish that the fps on my kwa m4a1 has dropped massively it is now at the 230-235 mark and it is meant to be around 300 so my friend has had a look at it and says that it is not the seals around the piston. i am wondering if the spring has worn down? any help would be great thanks charlie. Supporters Liam Porter Posted October 13, 2012 Supporters Share Posted October 13, 2012 It could be the spring. When you last used it, did you do the last shot on semi to complete the cycle? If not, then it may have been mid-cycle, meaning the spring has been left compressed since last time. This would obviously mean it's not going to be the same power as it was before. Supporters Liam Porter Posted October 13, 2012 Supporters Share Posted October 13, 2012 Semi will always end the cycle with the spring at the least compressed it can be. I think when the nozzle's forward, it means the gun's ready to fire (compressed spring), because it should be pushed against the BB, to reduce the air loss. kungfumonkey
right i been doing it backwards then lol opps just watched this and my air nozzle sits back when fireing on semi not forward like this shows ?
Supporters Liam Porter Posted October 13, 2012 Supporters Share Posted October 13, 2012 Eh, no idea then. Something to do with the tappet plate and sector gear. If the guns shoots fine then I wouldn't worry about it. Still, last shot on semi as it decompressed the spring.
