Ok, moving closer to the topic with Knife kills:

It is possible if rare, night games increased chance if your sneaky but:

1) Its easier to shoot someone

2) Its added weight that doesn't help

3) The only advantage is a silent kill but seen as its not a 'kill' and there is usually havoc going on everywhere anyway its not really that much of an advantage.

Yeah, I reckon you've just about covered it... except...

It's just so fcuking cool!

On topic of Storage:

Actually I have nothing to say here :P

I think you might be surprised, mate. I've seen you get well forward plenty of times, so you've obviously got a well honed instinct for what cover will work at any given time. Add the dark to that and the the diversion of other people moving in, making a load of noise, showing torch light and firing AEG's... yeah, I think you and Billy could be quite the ninjas if you put your mind to it!

It's good to know you have that opinion of me, but I'd say that's only really true of the village field, which is BY FAR my favourite. I'd happily play every game in the day on that zone. If they made a village type area the size of the trench field I'd be completely in my element, I rarely get killed playing the village and I often rack up at least 15 kills, often more.

At the night game last month, I survived the entire village game and must've killed more than half the enemy team by the end of it. It was just about the most fun I've ever had :P I can't actually believe they never found me, 'cos I really wasn't being very subtle with my torch.

My tactics generally, though, are to move up as far and fast as possible and get some good cover. I don't try and go for the objective, but position myself somewhere that gives me the widest and longest field of unrestricted view, then I stay back in the building so people don't see my barrel, or self, and then I get very selective about my targets.

If there are medic rules in play I'll generally let the game unfold for a few minutes before I even think about firing at anyone. My aim at this point is to stay in the same spot long enough for people to begin to overlook it when they're searching for targets, because they assume no one's there due to the lack of activity.

Then, once I see the medics, I'll start picking people off. I'm very selective about targets, there has to be enough of a person showing, within the right range, for me to bother shooting, because I try to go for one shot kills unless I'm at risk of getting hit myself.

30 shot mags sort of demand a more careful approach to engagements and you really feel a sense of achievement when you take people out with one shot.

But basically, if there's anyone in my line of sight in the bottom three fifths of the field then it's just a matter of time before I pick them off lol.

As for weapon storage, I think it's all just common sense really. Best thing anyone can do is put them somewhere out of sight. What could be harder than that?

If you put them in view of the public, then the chance of anything becoming of it is probably very small, but you should at least entertain the notion that the possibility of someone saying something about it is there.

Ed, I'm gonna be keeping an eye out for your sneaky ninja tactics at Skirmish. I'll be there on the 29th during the day but not for the night game so if you're around I'll be making sure I clear out every last hut and fox hole. :)

I doubt I'll be there on the 29th, depends on whether my student loan comes though and if I can get a lift lol

I'm there this Saturday though... Well, assuming I can find someone to drive me back to Sheffield. I've got a lift there sorted.

I didn't realise you played there. I'll make sure I message you next time I head down so we can all (you, me and Ian) time our visit to coincide. It'd be cool to get an AF-UK team going.

When were you last there? We might've met, or at least seen each other.
