jaeproductions
Hi I just used the app thing to figure out how long to charge my CA MP5K PDW 8.4v battery for. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/app/# So you need the battery capacity (mah) which it doesn't specifically say on the battery but it does say 1100 on each of the seven batteries which I guess it is. You also need the charge rate (mA) which is 500. So it came out as 18 hours charge time. Is that right? Because it just doesn't seem right to me...I'll have to charge it overnight but it says not to. Supporters Liam Porter Posted July 30, 2012 Supporters Share Posted July 30, 2012 No, it's not. It's two hours, thirty-eight minutes. I just used the same app..
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted July 30, 2012 Supporters Share Posted July 30, 2012 Is it quite a small battery? The 1100 will be for all 7 cells, at a guess. I don't think you can get batteries with 7700 mah, the highest I've seen is about 3600 and they were all enormous. Each cell will be 1.2volts, so 7 x 1.2 = 8.4 volts What you have there is an 8.4v mini stick battery, with a mah level of 1100. Charging at a rate of 500 ma it'll take 2 hours and 40 minutes to charge according to the app. I'd buy another battery as a spare, 1100 isn't very much for a full day. I can make 1450mah last an entire day, but I only use single shot and only carry 300 shots into each game, I rarely get through anything close to all of them either. If you're using hi-caps and use auto a lot it's likely you'll need another battery, maybe even another two.
