SgtTalbert
Hi All, Probably not as simple as I think.... Can you simple switch out an inner barrel for a barrel that is longer? Do I need to worry about the pistons/gears/motor? Reason I am asking.... Because I have a 2nd rifle and pistol now, I am thinking of turning my M4 into a semi only 400FPS rifle Like this: I would run a tightbore barrel into a silencer and add the length that way Is there issues around what I am thinking? Cheers,
Hudson
No real problems with that, fella. The only things that might cause an issue is that it's got a smaller volume cylinder due to the short barrel; but it shouldn't have any major impact; and that your FPS *might* go up (or indeed down) Not enough to worry about at least. I've done the same thing with one of mine in the past, while waiting another m4 barrel and didn't suffer any problems. (Barring bashing the longer barrel on trees occasionally!)
