UberDemon
Hey peeps I have a vsr gspec that currently has a m100 spring in I think, its fireing about 318fps on the chrono. I was thinking of putting a m120 spring in to boost it to 400fps I only have enough for the spring to start with, how long would it last untill I needed to upgrade the rest? Would other parts break? Sorry if it's a stupid question I have no idea on it lol. Hope to hear soon Cheers
paperpirate
just popping a big spring in would cause wear and tear on the rest of the internals and make them break, a spring is one of the last things you should do (or what i did) with it being sub 350 you dont have to worry about engagement distances and can get used to the role of sniping. spring guide, high pressure piston, piston sear, trigger sear and a tight bore will get you more reliable results then you can whack your big spring in. bits like silenced cylinder heads can be put in later, just dont waste your money on barrel spacers, leccy tape and five minutes does the same job hope that helps a bit mate

What do all the other parts help with? Power or accuracy? Cheers
paperpirate
the spring would be fine for a while, but would just break the standard internals after a while, the upgrades just mean its more consistant, meaning more accurate in airsoft terms and can handle the power
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted June 15, 2012 Supporters Share Posted June 15, 2012 If all the other stuff is going to be upgraded anyway, which I imagine would include completely replacing a lot of the stock parts, then I figure you might as well put a stronger spring in it until it breaks. 'Cos all the old parts are coming out anyway, you might as well make the most out of them, I doubt they'll ever get used again once they're removed. Might as break them before replacing anything.
