Best value AEG for £200

This thread is over three months old. Please be sure that your post is appropriate as it will revive this otherwise old (and possibly forgotten) topic.

Hey guys, first post here so please be nice

Basically I'm looking for recommendations from you old hands for a new weapon with a £200 budget. The limit at my local site is 370 fps for AEGs so obviously I'll need something that chronos in at below that figure. It'll be used for woodland combat.

I've been looking at the D-Boys Scar-L (here), Cyma M14 (here) and a couple of different M4s/AKs/etc but I'm effectively spoiled for choice.

Action Hobbies is my preferred retailer as I'm within easy driving distance so can do a pickup instead of having to pay for postage.

Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to hearing your recommendations.

Are you looking for a RIF? do you have UKARA?

If not then go for a SRC G36C with 9.6v battery and charger.

Yep I have UKARA.

My two-tone was a JG G36c so I'm not sure if I want to stick with a G36 or go for something a little different.

Thanks for the reply :)

Something like this?

thats a gas rifle not an aeg.

does the £200 need to include mags etc or just the gun itself?

G&G is a good make and its at a good price for a metal version http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/G-G-M4-A1-G....aspx?nh=124116

if you want a g36 then actionhobbies have some jing gong ones of various versions they are pretty well recommended

the cyma m14s are out of stock there so if you want one you will have to go somewhere else although the gun itself isnt bad for the price

Whoops, my bad.

It would be nice if I had a bit of money left over from the £200 to buy mags or an additional battery but it's not a necessity and I have friends who airsoft who'll sell me mags and other accessories at a lower price.

Yeah I was looking at that G&G.

Are AGM (M4 RIS) any good? I've heard that their guns tend to come in a little hot.

agm arent a brand ive heard of try a google search see if there are any reviews of them.

edit: had a quick search wouldnt personaly touch them from what i read they use cheap materials and low quality internals, so unless you plan on replacing the insides id go for a better known brand . if you want metal then that g&g will be your best bet imo if you want ris then try the g&g cm16 range

Alright, cheers. I'll definitely be considering the G&G M4 :)

What's your opinion on D-Boys/CYMA out of interest?

Just found this this G&G GR16 for £199.99. Obviously I would have to shell out for a battery but it looks very tempting. Especially like the dummy-mag battery storage system, very clever.

dont know much about the d-boys so cant comment but they are a well known brand. as for cyma they do some decent guns, they are well known for making good aks

as for battery didnt you say you have a g36 already if so if you were using a mini then you can use that..obviously your g36 mags wont fit but m4 mags are very common so you can pick them up cheaply.

I Have a CA G36E For sale for £120 with Upgrade`s I`ll go get the Info then EDit it all in here for you!

Brand new it is this price

http://www.jdairsoft.net/product.aspx?id=16186

with the mod`s its had and the extra bipod i added plus spare mag it`s a killer deal!

Guarder SP100 spring fitted

Aluminium air nozzle

Madbull hop up rubber and shark accelerator (a different style hop up nub which apparently increases fps)

Replaced hop up chamber (reinforced plastic) [The hop up will need breaking in as I haven't shot many BB's through it yet)

Gearbox was serviced recently

One thing to mention is that it will need to have the scope zeroed, as I havent had the time since doing the improvements.

and I`ll chuck 2 free battery`s and if i can find it a charger aswell!
