  1. In your opinion; which is better: ICS M4A1 or the G&G CM16 carbine?

Funny enough, I have both but I prefer my G&G as parts are universal so go with cm16 kid

I always go by 'if you can't see through then dont fire through it'

To me its basicly blind firing

1st game I played, I got tagged on my upper right arm from about 4 inches away

The hole was only just big enough to get the barrel through so I'd have seen bugger all anyway :)

  5. Sorry for off topic ness: To those who have been in the army, do you live at home while your in the army for longer than office job etc people would? And, is it selfish me wanting to join the Army as my mum and dad keep saying about how upset they'd be?

You can't really base life on what you see in films, programmes, documentries etc

You'll find they live at home when on leave but live on camp or local to camp with there wives

Even during basic training, the only time you'll go home is midway through and you get weekend leave IF you all have earned it

Unless your parents live very close or within an hours drive of camp, you won't be able to live at home

It sounds like your trying to keep your parents happy but in reality that's not really possible

I joined at 16, only time spent at home was on leave, I spoke to my dad, brother and sister any time I had the chance :)

Its not a selfish thing to do, every parent has worry's when there child joins the armed forces, more so now with afgan etc

Personally, if a parent stands in your way of doing what excites you and its truly what you want to do, in my eyes that's being selfish

Wait till your 18 as you dont need there parental consent, my dad didn...

      We we're soldiers

      Battle Las Angeles

  15. Is the L85a2 or M4a1 better? Sorry re-word, which is better? In real life.

    1. n1ckh

      n1ckh

People are also for getting that 5.56mm is the NATO's standard round so it can be used by virtually anyone

      Both the M4 and SA80 have pro's & con's but I will alway back L85

Yes its heavy (that's why you get a sling) the mags are easy to change with practice and easier to work on in the field

I've used both in the army

Field stripping the m4 is easier, more customizable and a bit lighter

      But

I would take the sa80 any day, I loved my rifle, looked well after and its like your boots, won't let you down when you need it

Every sea cadet corps has a detachment of marine cadets

The marine cadets use the same uniforms as the army and royal marines

On the plus side though, in the air cadets you'll be half way up in the sky like the paras lol
