Camo tape should work fine for now then. Google it: there's plenty of different camouflage patterns to choose from.
  2. Personally, if it were me, I'd have taken the hit. He saw and 'bang'ed the OP because the OP didn't check his surroundings. Fair play in my book.
  3. Umarex does some pretty good, cheaper AEGs too if you want to look into those. Full metal and very reliable (mines 2 years old and have had no problems at all.)

From my understanding, as long as you're over 18 and can prove you're a member of a UKARA site, you're fine to do that. If you can't do that however, you might want to look into camo tape as a temporary solution. EDIT: If your parents have a UKARA membership, they can turn your IF into a RIF.
  5. Something like this? http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/photos/sdtmb6nx500a.jpg EDIT: I looked at the M83 and it doesn't really appeal to me. Some of the Condor gear looks quite good though.
  6. Are there any brands you'd recommend (Under the £50 mark preferably)?
  7. I already have a nice pair of Falkland's Royal Marine Assault Boots, and I did find a helmet on the flecktarn site for around £25: just listed the cover to show what it'd look like. I don't really have that much money available for a backup AEG at this point, although the spare battery sounds like a good idea. The one I have now is a bitch to recharge. About the midcaps, does anybody know of a store in the West Midlands area which sells them? I saw a pack of 6 magazines at JD Airsoft, however I was unsure if they would work with my AEG. Would every manufacturer of mags work with an Umarex AEG? I'll have a look around for some kneepads too - thanks for the tip!
  8. So, this is just going to be a basic loadout which will require a bit of working on to finish, but not much. After some googling, I was actually surprised to see the lack of flecktarn loadouts there are (I may be wrong). I've worn DPM before, webbing and all too, however I really do not like the look of it - flecktarn seems like the best idea for me, and suits my MP5 rather well. I'm in need of a pistol though - a P25 or an M1911 are my main ideas at the moment, if anyone could help by recommending a decent brand (two-tone that is), it would help. Here's my basic idea for kit and uniform so far: Shirt - http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/flccs1us.html Trousers - http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/flcct1us.html Helmet (and cover) - http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/flphc1ua.html Assault Vest - http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/fltav4nx.html Obviously there's a lot missing, but as a first loadout, I feel that it is all I'll really need. I already have a few extra high-cap mags, and a red/green dot. If there's any key things you guys think I need to add, please speak up. I need all the help I can get!

    Camouflage Tape

Yeah, I have no plans in spraying my gun - or as a matter of fact buying a RIF - before gaining UKARA membership when I'm 18. I'm pretty sure my parents wouldn't want a RIF in the house either, considering that I have a 9 month old sister, who may have a chance of getting access to it (of course, getting hold of an IF at that age is equally as bad). Camo tape seems the best option at this time, however thanks for your replies, Longshot and Nickona.
  10. In my opinion, if there is an element of command, ranks should be in place somehow. I mean, who's better to lead a group of people: an experienced skirmisher or a newbie? Saluting I do not agree with though. It should be kept solely in the armed forces, emergency services and cadet corps, not for re-enactments or MilSims.
  11. Thanks! It's an Umarex MP5A3 - cost around £120 from my knowledge (got it from a small airsoft retailer located in Hollybush, for those who may know where I mean). I've also purchased a rail, as well as a red/green dot, a few extra magazines and a cheapish gun bag to transport it in. The only goggles I could really find were goggles that are glazed over by an optician with your prescription, however they are very expensive (for a beginner, at least.) Heres a link to the MP5: http://www.airsoftopia.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=14&products_id=48
  12. Hi everyone, So, I'm Yuriski. I'm pretty new to airsoft (got my AEG last Christmas) and have been looking for a good place to get some beginner tips and advice, as well as meet a few people. Currently, all I have is my MP5, and a few dodgy spring pistols (waste of money, I know): I'm also planning on getting a decent German uniform with flecktarn camouflage as my first loadout, so if any of you know where to get a hold of some odds and ends, I'd really appreciate it (affordable goggles that fit over glasses would also be a big help!). Look forward to discussing things with you all. - Yuriski. Quick Edit: The actual flecktarn site seems to have pretty reasonable costs, so I'm all checked out uniform and tac-vest wise. Anyone with knowledge of a nice pair of goggles would be appreciated though!

    Camouflage Tape

Thanks for all your responses - I think I'll probably just apply and remove the tape at the site. Since I'm new to skirmishing and airsoft in general, I'll be posting some more questions over the following months.

    Camouflage Tape

Hello all, So, I browsed this topic (http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/20986-two-tone-guns-and-tape/) in order to try and find out if it was perfectly legal for an under-18 (Myself) to cover up the blue areas on my two-tone AEG with camo tape. However, I could not find a simple yes/no answer, and upon looking at the multiple arguments that people made in that thread, I could not come to a conclusion myself. Simply put, if I cover the non-black areas in tape when I reach the site, and remove the tape before I leave, will there be any legal issues? (A simple 'yes' or 'no' will suffice, however feel free to explain to me why if you do so wish.) Cheers, - Yuriski.
