What do you guys recommend for a m16a3? I have seen G&G, Ares and G&P but not sure witch to go for. Is there any others worth a buy?
Cheers

Thanks chock! I know King arms do two versions of the M1A1, one is about £150+ with plastic furniture and a plastic lower receiver, and the other is about £350+ with wooden furniture and full metal body which is the one i'm after. Nowhere seems to have it
-
Does anyone know where I can pick up one of these? http://www.kingarms.com/productpage.asp?prodid=1933 The only place I can find one in stock is a Canadian shop that doesn't ship overseas. A good few websites advertise them but are never in stock.
All help appreciated

They look great cheers dude! How did the inner barrel perform?
-
Does anyone know were I can one of these in the UK....
http://www.airsoftoutletnw.com/g-g-gr16-cqb-front-sight-and-outer-barrel-assembly
The idea is to be able to convert my M4 back & forth between standard & stubby to save me buying a new gun. I will also need to change my inner barrel as mine comes right to the end of my standard 14" barrel so if anyone could recommend a good precision barrel that wouldn't brake the bank that would be great!
Cheers

I would of thought pistol grip/motor area is main area for concern
many are sealed - some are vented/heatsink at bottom but that is a nice possible collection
point for water with a lovely bit of motor/electrics thrown in for good measure too......
you can tape up and/or apply some grease to terminals to prevent corrosion if you are that worried
but the most important thing to apply is common sense really.......
Most of it may be woodland - I don't know but not complete open fields perhaps, so you are not out
in wide open - also doubt if it really pi$$es down for too long will skirmish continue in a mud bath or
cetainly not wise to continue whilst a humid summer thunderstorm is kicking off.
presume you are in Ireland or N Scotland:
Weather Warning - Issued by the Met Office - Sunday 3rd August 2014
YELLOW WARNING of RAIN
An area of persistent and at times heavy rain will continue to move north across parts of northern England, Northern Ireland and much of Scotland.
Winds will become strong, with a risk of gales over coasts and hills.
The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding and of disruption to transport.
Jeez strong winds or gales - that means ya BB's are gonna be way off target at times
pi$$ing down at times - yeah sounds fun
flooding/transport disruption - yeah nice journey home too
check it out in morning - look for cqb or man up and say wtf a little water never hurt anybody
best of luck
Yeah...... got caught in that today lol. I've not seen rain like that for a while! My gun seems to be fine though Happy days!

Yea good shout, didnt even think about rust. I think Ill just go & give it a bash as is and see how I get on, unless anyone else has anything to add. Cheers for the help guys!

My battery compartment is in the M4 front hand gaurd so its quite exposed with holes in it. The battery itself seems quite water resistant wrapped up in plastic so I covered the connectors with tape but would the internals be ok? Obviously im not going scuba diving with it just general rain.
-
So I am going to be skirmishing tomorrow but it is set to be Pis*ing it down Is there any precautions i should take so I dont destroy my AEG? So far I have taped up the battery connectors with electrical tape but how rain resistant are airsoft guns?
Cheers

Can anyone recommend a 3 point sling for an M4? I have used an SA80 3 point sling before when I was in the cadets but both the sling loops on that rifle were vertical. However on my G&G GC16 the rear sling loop can be made vertical but the front one is horizontal so i'm not sure an SA80 sling would sit right. Is there any 3 point sling anyone can recommend that is specifically for the M4 or would fit one nicely?
Cheers

Yes it will go back to its original position but not by itself. I have to push it in but it feels very loose. It has no function on the gun so its not affecting the performance in any way but its just annoying me.
-
Hi, I recently stripped my G&G GC16 M4 and as a result I have gubbed the cocking handle & It wont retract to its original position. It is as if I have stretched the spring but it looks fine . Will I need a new spring? has anyone come across this before?
All help appreciated!

Tell a lie, This is only £45. Looks slightly beat up tho...http://www.dandbmilitaria.com/Thompson-M1A1-Wood-Set.html plus will need some modifying.

yea the tommy is a fiddly brute to take apart and i really wouldn't recommend taking apart a brand new gun, get em to do it for ya then you arnt invalidating your warranty. it is a lovely gun like and i was able to get mine in a sale and has served me well too. taken a few bangs that im pretty sure would have snapped my other guns with barely a scratch on it. just when you get it make sure the main body screws are tight to reduce wobble. id probably recommend looking at the wooden furniture version/ looking for the furniture in the future as it would really make the gun. oh and it can take large battery quite comfortably in that massive stock space...
Yea the wood furniture would be awesome but I think its quite dear, maybe something to save up for Yea might go for it then. I'm not going for a WW2 loadout tho, Modern gear with a tommy gun! thanks alot dudes!

For some guns it's an upgrade (for example; TM guns shoot around 280 fps stock so an m100 spring would bump that to around 320-325 fps) for others it's usually a downgrade (mostly your cheaper china brands like CYMA) as these often shoot above 360 fps.
Just remember that higher fps doesn't always mean a better gun or more range.
Yea for shure i'll keep that in mind, although the natural tendency is "More FPS!" Cheers man, you have been a great help
-
Ahh I see. I didnt know if the tuning options on zero one were upgrades or downgrades. Cheers for the replys guys Anything else anyone can tell me about this gun?
-
Yea I heard they shoot a bit hot. Had a wee feel of one at a skirmish the other weekend and it felt awesome. Is it a simple job changing the spring and would i be able to do it myself? Also how would I know what spring to go for?
Cheers

I was thinking about buying this gun once I get my UKARA sorted out. http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_396&products_id=6786
I know the G&G combat machines are regarded as the best budget guns around but I like the thompson. Has anyone used this gun? Is it a good buy or a no-no? robust or fragile? value or a waste of money? any common faults? all info and opinions are appreciated
Cheers
