Thanks mate - didn't think of asking YouTube. Yeah found some good ideas!

Hi all,
I have searched and searched but no luck really on this.
I have a fast bump helmet, which I currently use ess goggles with - the small ones, I can't remember thier name v12 stings to mind?
And I wear a shemag (how ever it's spelt) on my lower face over my mouth, but man does your breath make it sweaty.
I'm after some form of goggles which clip to a lower mesh mask, and possibly onto the helmet too, I've seen these goggles that clip onto the helmet, but the mask I'm thinking a nupro one...
Any idea please

2 men in 1 tent
You better sleep back to back.
It's surprisingly spacious.... Plus if it's cold we can have a tactical cuddle, with the front zipped up obviously.....
-
about 50/50, if you're in the FOB then you'll be sleeping outside, it's just a couple of HESCO squares on top of a hill. Basha will 100% be required unless you fancy getting wet!
I presume my pop up fishing bivvi is ok - it does state bivvi on thier website, sod it I'm taking it, it's far more comfortable than a basha, plus there's two of us, and the basha X 2 would take up more room.
-
you'll be able to arrive on the friday after 1800, game on isn't til saturday morning though.
If you're in the main buildings then you'll be able to park immediately outside before moving your car up to the car park, if you're in the FOB then you'll have to park in the car park and stirling run a truck to and from the FOB so you won't have to carry all your stuff.
One other question, I assume you've been to this one before, what's the likelihood of sleeping outside?

Thanks mate - I'm taking the lot then! If I don't need it, it'll stay in the van! 👍

Yeah that's the issue - the kit list on thier website is quite vague. We have bivvi's (carp fishing ones, in green) and basha's but it's heavy gear, like all I wanted to know is if we turn up at 6pm for instance can we park near where we will be camping, or is it a 2mile hike with all this heavy gear. And then if it turns out we are camped inside a budiling with a roof, we don't need the bivvi. And it was a waste carting it all there.
Also it says start time is 18.00 on the Friday, but the tickets say 9am on the Saturday, when we called up yesterday and got hold of them, it starts at 10am on the Saturday, so all the times don't match up, I was under the impression it was a Friday night to Saturday night game, but now it's a weekend game, which is fine, but I told my misses I'd be back Saturday night, now it's Sunday morning - she wasn't impressed!

Generally with the TF side at the sandpit you set up in the new FOB in the corner of the site, a basha and a campbed are highly recommended! That said, you may end up setting up in one of the buildings in the main complex in which case the basha won't be needed.
Either way, you won't have to carry it about with you. There's no mention of it being a hard routine weekend on the page so I'd say you're likely to be setting up your stuff friday evening/saturday morning (depending when you arrive) and working from an established base all weekend.
Thanks mate - I was hoping as much!

I've already messaged them twice....

Hi all,
I haven't posted in a while, or played much either, been working away a lot!
Any how my question is about the millsim game at the sandpit, held by Stirling airsoft.
The last milsim I played with tier one, we took sleeping bags but in all honesty hardly used them in 36 hours, and it was more kit to carry for a long time, as we were on the isaf forces.
With Stirling do at the sandpit do you drop all your heavy gear off first, then just use a patrol pack, or will it be similar to tier 1, as I want to pack light, but would like it, if I don't have to lug it round for 3 hours!
Any help is much appreciated, plus any help with what the game play is like, as tier one had some pretty impressive pyro set up during the game too.

Again thanks guys. Yeah I agree with the designed ration 'sets' that someone has taken to time to work out what you need, when you need it. I'm very apprehensive of when we will be able to sit down and eat, as the tier one experience is very intense. But no pain, no gain. He says...
-
And as for food to cook in these mess tins? I've seen some ration packs on eBay, one 24hr one in perticular came with a shed load of stuff! My mate who's coming with me seems to think that loads of crisps will do! - not for 30hrs!
-
Thanks guys. Some really really helpful stuff!

Hey everyone,
Haven't posted for a while, or skirmished infact!
First skirmish in 6 months tomorrow! - knee op.
Me and a friend are going to a tier 1 milsim in December, other than the obvious warm kit what else do we need? On the tier 1 website there is a urban list, most makes sense like cooking gear, sleeping bag etc..
Is a map pouch and waterproof note book essential? I just don't want to be lugging unnecessary kit around!
Also being a bit of a gear wh*** I'm toying with buying some gen 2 night vision monocular for my fast jump helmet, I'm right handed what eye would you mount it on? The right I presume?
All help us appreciated!

Well my ubacs turned up today so I couldn't resist trying it on together!
-
If you mean me, then it set me back a cool......£500! The vest cost a fortune as all the pouches are separate, and all flyye ones, and the leg holster wasn't cheap either, but I wanted actual crye precision, bit of a geek!
-
Ok here goes my multicam set up.
Bit hard to see it all:
Flyye tactical mc vest with all flyye pouches (g36) cut a twin m4 flyye pouch in half to store my pyros in.
Mc Heikon trousers, t shirt
Mc softshell jacket not quite a brilliant match
Knee pads
Bowman headset with ptt
Green molle rucksack to carry all my stuff to the safe zone (I don't wear it whilst playing!)
Mc leg holster
Ops core BASE jump helmet I sprayed dark earth as it was black
Amazon boots
Green shemagh
Rap4 green gloves - very comfortable!
Green sling I modified to be worn on my vest, so much more comfortable now!
Also got an Emerson mc long sleeve ubacs on its way with some patches, a tan belt and some ess ice googles
-
Sturm Mil-Tec arid woodland, various coyote molle and a C-3/M69 gas mask.
Man that would scare the hell out of me if you ran round a corner in that mask!
-
Quite a bit actually:
5 x ares g36 mid caps
Madbull .25s
Olive green tactical rucksack
4 x multicam flyye g36 pouches
Multicam pistol drop leg holster
Viper green pistol lanyard
Viper green 2 point sling
Magnum amazon 5 boots (tan)
Olive green r4l full finger gloves (amazingly comfortable!)
Tan ops core base jump helmet
Mesh goggles
Multicam small t-shirt
Multicam heikon baseball cap
Multicam heikon trousers
Multicam drop pouch
Multicam soft shell rain jacket
To go with my new flyye multicam plate carrier, hydration pack, modified grenade pouch and doc pouch.
Oh a Sti tackmaster 1911 pistol
Umarex g36 (tan)
The misses ain't happy! But if I'm going to spend £150 on a plate carrier may as well do the other bits!
