  1. All my new kit tried on this evening - #stupid phone selfie..... Urgh just noticed it's also on its side - sod it.
  2. Thanks mate - didn't think of asking YouTube. Yeah found some good ideas!
  3. Hi all, I have searched and searched but no luck really on this. I have a fast bump helmet, which I currently use ess goggles with - the small ones, I can't remember thier name v12 stings to mind? And I wear a shemag (how ever it's spelt) on my lower face over my mouth, but man does your breath make it sweaty. I'm after some form of goggles which clip to a lower mesh mask, and possibly onto the helmet too, I've seen these goggles that clip onto the helmet, but the mask I'm thinking a nupro one... Any idea please
  4. It's surprisingly spacious.... Plus if it's cold we can have a tactical cuddle, with the front zipped up obviously.....
  5. I presume my pop up fishing bivvi is ok - it does state bivvi on thier website, sod it I'm taking it, it's far more comfortable than a basha, plus there's two of us, and the basha X 2 would take up more room.
  6. One other question, I assume you've been to this one before, what's the likelihood of sleeping outside?
  7. Thanks mate - I'm taking the lot then! If I don't need it, it'll stay in the van! 👍
  8. Yeah that's the issue - the kit list on thier website is quite vague. We have bivvi's (carp fishing ones, in green) and basha's but it's heavy gear, like all I wanted to know is if we turn up at 6pm for instance can we park near where we will be camping, or is it a 2mile hike with all this heavy gear. And then if it turns out we are camped inside a budiling with a roof, we don't need the bivvi. And it was a waste carting it all there. Also it says start time is 18.00 on the Friday, but the tickets say 9am on the Saturday, when we called up yesterday and got hold of them, it starts at 10am on the Saturday, so all the times don't match up, I was under the impression it was a Friday night to Saturday night game, but now it's a weekend game, which is fine, but I told my misses I'd be back Saturday night, now it's Sunday morning - she wasn't impressed!
  9. Hi all, I haven't posted in a while, or played much either, been working away a lot! Any how my question is about the millsim game at the sandpit, held by Stirling airsoft. The last milsim I played with tier one, we took sleeping bags but in all honesty hardly used them in 36 hours, and it was more kit to carry for a long time, as we were on the isaf forces. With Stirling do at the sandpit do you drop all your heavy gear off first, then just use a patrol pack, or will it be similar to tier 1, as I want to pack light, but would like it, if I don't have to lug it round for 3 hours! Any help is much appreciated, plus any help with what the game play is like, as tier one had some pretty impressive pyro set up during the game too. Andy
  10. Again thanks guys. Yeah I agree with the designed ration 'sets' that someone has taken to time to work out what you need, when you need it. I'm very apprehensive of when we will be able to sit down and eat, as the tier one experience is very intense. But no pain, no gain. He says...
  11. And as for food to cook in these mess tins? I've seen some ration packs on eBay, one 24hr one in perticular came with a shed load of stuff! My mate who's coming with me seems to think that loads of crisps will do! - not for 30hrs!
  12. Thanks guys. Some really really helpful stuff!
  13. Hey everyone, Haven't posted for a while, or skirmished infact! First skirmish in 6 months tomorrow! - knee op. Me and a friend are going to a tier 1 milsim in December, other than the obvious warm kit what else do we need? On the tier 1 website there is a urban list, most makes sense like cooking gear, sleeping bag etc.. Is a map pouch and waterproof note book essential? I just don't want to be lugging unnecessary kit around! Also being a bit of a gear wh*** I'm toying with buying some gen 2 night vision monocular for my fast jump helmet, I'm right handed what eye would you mount it on? The right I presume? All help us appreciated!
