  1. I'm a sucker for a two tone pistol so I would use it as is but the idea to put grey grips on this I think would make it better. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
  2. I may have been lucky when shipping long guns in that one I was offered a box from another shooter who didn't need it and the second where I broke the rifle down to allow it to fit in a 'squarer' box, with the buyers consent of course. Now I have at least 1 empty long box in storage just in case. You can always ask your fellow shooters in case they have one tucked away, going spare. Good luck.
  3. My kind of player, if everyone took this to 110% serious levels then a lot more people will be leaving to take up some other sport like golf, or cricket or squash. Long may you and those like you reign sir!!🤣🤣
  4. I had a WE 226 Rail a few years back but it didn't shoot that well. Took it apart to find this so sent it back. Didn't want to risk getting another. The weight, feel and controls were really good.
  5. I'm on a forum like this and it can't stop the scammers 100% (what can!!) but you can quickly tell by a members posts if they are serious about the hobby and as stated before in this thread, they would likely give up before they reach 50 'meaningful' posts.
  6. If I'm selling an item I prefer to specify a better quality of delivery service which is covered with the full value of the item in insurance cover. Royal Mail special delivery next working day by 1.00pm is my usual choice. Yes it does cost more but only ever had 1 lost parcel which was fully refunded to me after I refunded the buyer. Happy buyers means better feedback as well!
  7. Ah, didn't know that. Probably why it's one of the keys that looks brand spanking new on my keyboard. 🤣 Will have to give that a try. Cheers.
  8. Possibly been mentioned before but is it possible to have a 'back to the top' button on the pages so after we have scrolled down the topic we can quickly get back to look at another rather than going through the tedious scroll up scenario?? Many thanks, Pete
  9. The silicone spray won't do any damage but before you load up and shoot it make sure that that you give it a good wipe down to get it all off, including down the barrel. You Tube is a good source of vid's on how to clean an AEG, watch a few of them to get an idea of how it should be done.
  10. THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

  11. My favorite project gun. A TM 1911 MEU in a Guarder FBI kit and Cerakote paint job
  12. Go for the AAP, the things you can do with this pistol re upgrades, customising etc. is a much better option than the WE.
  13. Even full wrap eye protection will not give 100% cover so go for a full cover goggle of some sort. I have lots of eye protection glasses for shooting and DIY but prefer goggles because I know it's the best way to save my eyes if the worst happens. A good fog cleaner will help too. Try a pair on and see the difference..
  14. After a few months though prices can be well out from the true value of what's being sold, that said I have sometimes paid over value for something I really wanted..... There should be a cut off though to remove the old sales posts in my opinion.
  15. These are in the £70 to £80 mark on line so start at £60 all in and see how you go.
  16. I agree with Cr0_Magnon, start around the £150 mark and see how it goes from there.
  17. You would be better off putting this in the classified section @Thomas french Good luck with the sale.
  18. I agree to the increased fee but the service is woefully understaffed and undertrained at the moment in a good few areas and people have waited 2 years for a grant or renewal. I fear that it could be a "you get to hit them once so hit them hard" increase in fees. Also that it does not follow onto air powered and airsoft shooting. Fingers crossed.
  19. I was looking at another forum recently and they noted an intention within the Labour manifesto to increase firearms licensing to cover the full costs involved. Now I know that's not airsoft but shooters of ALL disciplines should be aware that if one group is targeted successfully then you can bet your last BB that they will look elsewhere to do something similar. Get more money in from our sport, maybe ban it, or more difficult to access. Who knows. You can never trust these politicians........
  20. Late I know but I was also warned about the Guarder kits but it was for me the best value option for a full metal TM MEU. The fit in the end was quite smooth, I even went overboard and had it all cerakoted as well.
  21. Mark at FMJ does really good work and has painted RIF's for me in the past, have a look at his site, you can email him for a quote. CERAKOTING – FMJ FIREARMS Cheers, Pete
  22. Thank you Galvatron. It's going to undertake a change in the next few days, a new split slide set up, a CTM TAC Flatline. Just to see if we can improve it a little.
  23. It is at the Hill but not run by TAL Arms, Christchurch Gun Club.
  24. Good to know Shamal, always needing to play with temperamental pistols!! I'm based in Dorset and shoot in Christchurch funnily enough.
