Update: wanted to update in case anyone in the future has the same issue and finds this thread. I swapped out the recoil spring with a stock g17 one and now the slide locks back, when its locked back the mag releases easily. If the slide is forward the mag still gets caught but I am going to put that down to the the lower receiver gripping it slightly. Wont be an issue when I get some long mags as I can just pull them out. I guess i could get different mag bases or mag pulls too

Good Afternoon All! Apologies if this has come up before, I have searched the forum and the newbies guides but couldn't find an answer. I just got this RIF and added a solid M16 Stock on it (because why wouldn't you, look at it) Unfortunatly, the battery cable which was meant to be used as a buffer tube housing, is too short. It stops at around this red line As you can imagine this make connecting the battery impossible. I could technically keep taking the stock off but the screw to connect this is small and took a lot of effort to get it in. So I am thinking of getting a small Deans extender cable and wrapping in with electrical tape to prevent it disconnecting to extend the cable a bit. I wanted to ask here first as I know LiPo's can be temperamental will that effect anything if I add a 1-2 inch extender? I currently don't feel confident enough to just wire a longer cable directly, perhaps once i meet a few more experience air softers in person, I may ask for help but currently I don't have that support structure around me except for you guys . Thanks Phill

Hmm doing this I found that the spring is fully compressed before the slide reaches the groove for the catch. I have ordered a stock recoil spring as it was like £4.00 and seems a quick swap to confirm. Are there any benefits to having a stronger recoil spring. I know it makes the slide return quicker so you can fire again but is that worth the slide not catching?

Good Evening all! I recently purchased a pre-owned WE G17 High speed (The split slide one) I notice after receiving that the slide does not lock. I have seen this pistol in videos and its definitely meant too. After doing some investigating I noticed the slide doesn't go back far enough to reach the grove where the catch springs up. (This image is me holding the slide fully back) A few things I have noted: This receiver is not the original, it has no WE markings and says it Gen4 (stock is Gen3) This gun has had modifications: Maple leaf hop chamber and barrel, out barrel is different (its threaded, stock isn't) The magazines also get stuck a bit, when I press the mag release they don't drop, I have to pull them out or slightly pull the slide back. Now my questions are: Does the slide not lock because of the different receiver? Did the previous owner who upgraded also change the recoil spring? Could that make the slide not reach? (The slide is very hard to pull back, I have other GBB and they are very light compared to this) Is losing the locking slide worth the upgrades? Should I try and get a Gen.3 receiver? If I carry on using it without slide lock, will it damage the gun? should I take out the slide catch? I am a new air softer so I am sorry if these are obvious questions, I bought this assuming it was stock, I was going to get these upgrades anyway so its a pleasant surprise for sure. Thanks for any advice Phill

Shirt/Trousers for the larger gentlemen question

Update: Following on from my last post where I mentioned a pair of Wrangler camo cargo trousers. They are a perfect fit and have the stretchy material I was looking for. They have plenty of room in the legs for movement but they are not massively baggy like those others. I order 44W 30L as thats my normal size and they were still a bit big around the waist so I returned and got 42W 30L and they are the best trousers I have owned for a long time. They fit so well I am going to grab another pair in black as everyday trousers! In case there are others who are not a fan of overly baggy trouser or are struggling to find a good fit, highly recommend these: Wrangler Authentics Men's Relaxed Fit Stretch Cargo Pant Casual (Amazon UK) They have sizes from 29"W - 50"W (29"L - 33"L) and a variety of colours. For airsoft use, Black, Tan, Olive Drab and Multicam are the most useful . -
I guess I am a bitt apprehensive as there isnt much info out there about the SA ONE series. I cant even even find out if its easily upgradable. I just dont want to be one of those new players that accidently spends like £300 on a poor gun. The SA SA-V26 LVOA is £289 on PB and has an ETU but no MOSFET which I am guessing at this price point it should at least have a basic one? I have not installed a MOSFET myself so I am unsure how to do that or if it can be done on this gun.

Hello, I apologise if this has already been answered previously. I am a new air softer and I am looking for a Primary around the £200-£300 range. My main site is primarily Woodland. I came across the SA SA-V26 LVOA AEG and liked the look of it. However when I tried to do my own research there are very few reviews. Any videos I found were not in English so that didn't help much. Here is the gun: Patrolbase Does anyone here run with one of these? Are they decent or should I be looking for something different in my price range? I have thought about a Cyma Platinum M4, Cyma Blue MP5SD6, P90 or something similar but as most of you probs know making that first purchase is hard when you like so many gun platforms lol. Thanks in advance

It is definately on my wanted list, I have always loved the MP5SD look, I would probably put the solid stock on there too. I think right now its between the mp5sd, the LVOA, and the p90 -

Thank you both for you insight. You really helped me out. I have ordered a Viper Laser Molle combat belt along with its harness as per your advice. I found a pair of Wrangler Camo stretchy cargo trousers on amazon that I am going to test out to see if they are a bit more my style. I will update when they come on Saturday. Now I just need to decide on my primary gun haha. My current choice is between: CYMA CM.041 Blue Edition SD6 SMG-5 AEG (My primary site is woodland, unsure if this has the range etc for that) Specna Arms SA-V26 ONE™ Red Edition M4/AR-15 LVOA AEG (Bit pricey but it looks cool af, not sure if its overkill for a start weapon, or if they are decent) I like P90s but again mainly woodland and unsure if they have the range (I was looking at Novritschs P90 but alot of people say to stay away from his stuff as its overpriced?) Cyma Platinum M4 (I see these recommended alot) Also a G36, AUG, MP7 and Vorsk VMP1 are all in the mix. Ah the fun of going through guns lol -
Shirt/Trousers for the larger gentlemen question

Heres mine so far, I have just got the PC so its not adjusted properly and is sitting a bit high and I am still wating for a belt to holster my pistol + mags etc. Still undecided on if i want to go helmet or not. Going by my test today I am 100% going to need Exfog. I am also in the "wears Glasses" group too haha I was just worried them being baggy was odd but perhaps them are meant to be like this the top isnt too bad but i feel the trouser may impede my movement a bit perhaps knee pads is a good idea like you guys have mentioned -
Shirt/Trousers for the larger gentlemen question

Thanks for the tips. I feel like i am slightly underselling how baggy they are, especially the trousers. See the picture attached where my finger is at the side of my leg with the trouser pulled directly outwards -
Evening all, Apologies if this question comes up a lot I looked few a lot of pages but didn't find anything. I am hoping someone can help me out. I am a larger chap (6ft tall and currently 18st but shedding that fast) Anyway, I am building my loadout and as its my first I wanted to get something cheaper but comfy. So I went for some Kombat gear. I got UBACS Tactical Fleece – BTP in 3XL. The chest fits fine but the sleeves are massive, like fit another arm in there massive. Is this expected with a UBAS? I know they are meant to be a bit looser to allow for movement but this seems ridiculous. I am finding the same with trousers. I got S95 Ripstop BTP Trousers (46W) The waist is fine, fits nice without the need for a belt, the rest though almost 4-5 inches of extra trouser on the bottom and could l fit another leg in them. Crazy baggy like im 4 sizes smaller but any smaller and the waist wont be big enough Again is this an issue with that brand or are these items meant to be insanely baggy? Can anyone recommend a brand that doesnt have this issue? Apologies if this has been posted before Phill

I am a collector, I am building a Punisher Display case and would like to buy the final pistol I need to complete this project. I am happy to buy new, used or boneyard, as along as the finish and paint on the gun looks good. Because its only for display it doesn't have to work. Offering £65 +P&P but might go higher if the condition is good. (Before anyone mentions its low, these are £69-79 from various sites brand new plus they are kind of unpopular right now.) I might consider a dual pack depending on the price and condition. I Will require a picture, with my username and todays date with the pistol in before sending the payment. Payment via PayPal only£65

I am looking for a Vorsk VP-X 1911 Silver Compensator. An odd request I know but I lost mine at a site and it just doesn't look the same. The only place I have found that sells them is in America and they have insane shipping costs considering it's so small. I would prefer it to be undamaged. I am really hoping someone removed it from theirs and added a suppressor and has it laying around gathering dust. Offering £15 +P&P but will accept offers. Payment via PayPal only£15
