Hi, me again about my G&P trigger box. This morning, after 2h of test with this trigger box and with an original one I found and solve my problem(s). The problem for the full with the fire selector in semi position came from the trigger sear. To much material where the trigger sear is in contact with the fire selector so it can’t keep the hammer in position. With less material now it keep the hammer in position and I have semi in semi position and full ib full position. Tested with original mags and GM mag without problem. Bolt carrier cycle is very good now.

If you have the 14,5“ outer barrel, buy one 10,5 and install it. It’s really nice to switch with both configurations. I don’t know any brand that offers this barrel extension option with the triangle front sight but i don’t know everything either. I wasted so much money to find the problem on my complete aftermarket MWS build. I finally replaced my G&P EMG steel trigger box by the GM (Guns Modify) steel trigger box and here am I, it works so well now. On the G&P trigger box I used different lubricants, oil, ptfe, grease, different nozzle, different bolt carrier, different hammer springs with all the settings possible (100% to 180%), different fire selectors but nothing to do, same issues. The bolt carrier cycle look like weak (?!) as if the mag valve was not completely hit. Like the hammer didn't have enough power to hit it and also, with the fire selector at "semi" position, 75% of the time the mws was shooting on full. After comparing the three trigger boxes (TM, GM and G&P) taking them apart to inspect everything, to check, to compare again, I still can't understand where the problem is coming from.

So, this is the last version of my Akx. I didn't want to do the same as my m4 Mws so I only changed internally/externally what seemed really useful and relevant to me. I bought it with M.L rubber and crazy jet inner barrel so I installed the Jaeger précision hop up arm. I have the angry gun heavy piston and 130% recoil spring but i didn’t installed yet. Maybe at next summer. Externally i replaced the uh-1 by a copy of Vzor-1 by Novus, customised the switch for the perst4 to create an mlok version, replaced the front grip by the wiitech rk-6l and put grip tape at the bottom of my mags. It’s so heavy in comparison with my m4 Mws but god, this is my favorite GBBR, really love it.

Don’t buy the mk18 if you plan to change the handguard. Buy the 14,5" or cqbr version. There are lot of threads on internet about the removal of the mk18 barrel nut and it’s very, very hard to remove it.

OPS store in France have few mk18 barrel nut tools.

For the 45° selector, Revanchist have one, semi only.

So I bought my second GBBR…

I fight with myself to not buy this gun but for sure I will loose so, did you recommand the ibex NPAS? I also have a problem to find upgrade/replacement parts. For my TM M4 MWS it’s easy, I only need to search using the letters "mws" but for the Akx…?! If I put the 130% recoil spring AND the hard kick gas piston, I need to change something? Is the hard kick Gas piston necessary to get a nice kick or only the recoil spring is good enough? Thanks

Sweet GothicGhost. Some internal/external modifications since my last game with the previous version. Internal: I put a thicknes of resin on the aluminum nub of the hop up chamber PH+ because at the begining, to get an hop up effect you need to put the setting at the middle of the range. So with one millimeter thickness more i have full range of hop up setting. I replaced the TM bolt carrier + NPAS Angry gun by a G&P gold bolt carrier + guns modify nozzle + NPAS Feda. I also replaced the TM trigger box by a G&P steel trigger box by EMG. External: Removed parts: silencer warden by Angry gun, sight set magpul mbus 3, outer barrel extension dytac 10,5inch and the copy of leap01 1,57" rise. New parts: silencer no name 38mm x 185mm with balystik silencer spacers, outer barrel extension dytac 6inch, scalarworks leap01 mount 1,93" rise and a copy of Griffin sight set by PTS that is the only option I have to put the flash light at 45° and in front of the handguard.

Using the good tools and with patience you can open the window of the crazy jet inner barrel.

Did you try to turn lightly the inner barrel clockwise? There is a little play wich can create this trouble.
