Firstly.. I did offer to sort out a new lower frame as i have a guarder gen 4 frame for another build. But i know that guarder currently don't make a 17.5 frame yet and the gen 3/4 does not fit the new TM TCU without alot of modification! So that wasn't going to be an option either really. The only other way would be to cover it with one of the OEM backstaps and that's not a fix, just covers up the damage. So there was offers made and i tried to find some way to resolve it so he could keep it but like he said he's OCD with all his kit so that damage was a deal breaker. At which point i said let me double check the damage was there before i sent it as i didn't want to refund and end up with a rif i hadn't broken. Upon checking some pictures, which it hard to see in, as i hadn't really photoed the back of the gun much. I could definitely see that the rear left of the lanyard loop was missing before sending. So refund sent no further questions.
There's nothing else damaged on it. So to say "it’s not easy to break the frame like that, what else is broken." is very much exaggerated, as i've seen plenty REAL glocks with the exact or very similar rear lower frame damage! Normally, from being dropped onto hard surfaces, i.e shooting range concrete floors, with no magazine. Check online for MANY references and pictures to that. Also being that the frame quality on the TM gen 5 is VERY different to other brand and previous gen TM's.
In all honesty, the one thing i wasn't very impressed with was the quality of the lower on the new TM. Feels shiney and very plastic as opposed to a more matted polymer finish and feel. So could be down to the material used on the 17.5 TM frame too. Assuming you own a TM G17.5 too, to confirm your theory?
Everyone does make mistakes and this was a genuine mistake and i don't believe i should be put on blast like this AGAIN! All i was trying to do was sell a rif. Yes, it maybe was priced a little higher than "Ethical". But that's upto the buyer to decide if they want to pay a little more for something scarce or rare.. Same happens with motor vehicles, clothes, art. The list goes on and on. Go read up on economics if you're sat there getting mad about it.
The reason for selling that and trying to get the best price i could, is that i'm trying to fund a new targeted therapy for my Fathers aggressive stage 4 lymphoma as all other treatments have failed now. So apologies if i seem a little stressed and snappy at the moment lads.
