There's a difference between people saying they want one and actually buying them though which is where the problem is found. AR15s sell brilliantly regardless so are a much more profitable choice.
I mean people like you say have wanted a VAL or VSS for ages and yet now there are 2-3 different versions are available, hardly anyone has actually bought one.
There have been many people bought them I know. And even the LCT one isn't that good supposedly. And well, they are AEG's. Look at GHK, they have been doing well enough to release 8 different AK models.
It will be a sad day when all we have to choose from is M4s with different type RIS rails.

True, I know, but there is a surprisingly large community who have been begging for one. And then of course they can sell it to the Russian airsofters who are growing at a pretty speedy rate.
Same goes with the KWA makarov that was meant to be coming out :'(

If they were to offer something that hasn't been done before that would be really popular then they could make a mint. If someone is looking for an AR15 then they have loads of options to choose from, and therefore less likely to buy that specific one.
And who wouldn't buy a superb quality GBB VSS or AS VAL?

I don't want to reveal full details yet until I have pics which won't be until I get the AK body from my gf who lives about 80 miles away, but my pro russian kit/ GRU Spetsnaz will cost less than £200 including camo and mags, gun and the lot 
It took time though!You can do these loadouts pretty cheaply because all their kits is most likely scavenged, donated or bought cheaply! My Chicom rig only cost £11 posted from China
The reason they are wearing DPM is beacause there is such a large surplus of it and so it is cheap and easy to buy in bulk. It could even be Russian made, nearly every 'western' camo has been copied and manufactured in Russia for various situations for all their different units.

Only ones still available I know of are ICS, G&G and WE who make a GBB one.
To be honest, handling an AEG L85 is going to be no help handling the real steel. By the time you'll need to fire a real steel L85, everyone else will be just a proficient and any muscle memory you have gained from using a GBB will be of no advantage by the time you have finished training. An AEG will be useless becuase it's nothing like the real thing, the weight is terribly off balanced compared to the real thing and with an AEG the reloading won't be the same. A GBB is only marginally better in terms of weight.
Your best bet is to get an AK because you like them. That way by the time you get into training you won't have any bad habits from using an AEG L85 and you won't have to unlearn anything like not releasing the bolt after changing mags etc.
TLDR; using an AEG L85 will gain you very little advantage, if any, and may even lead to bad habits, reloading, handling etc.

Try and get the cadet rifles and if possible military grade bolt action 'sniper' rifles if they are legal. People will pay money to shoot an L96 or even something firing a .338 if possible and even historic weapons like Lee-Enfields.
I'm not too sure on the rules about larger calibres but i'm sure you'll sort something legal out

How about something different?
A&K PKM. You will be the envy of everybody! Or what about an LCT AS VAL? A russian loadout can be pretty cheap to build up aswell and you can look like an absolute badass in Russian gear.
I haven't been to Green Zone yet, but hope to take a trip up someday over the summer if work permits.

Looking for a full metal aeg for around £350 has to be full metal and around 350 fps, don't mind what kind of style, has anyone got any ideas?
What style you looking for? It would give us a better idea of what you are looking for then.
If you want something a bit different, I would highly recommend a LCT VSS or AS VAL. Or anything from LCT really

Just as Dave says, a general service, shimmed, AoE corrected and 2nd tooth on piston filed down and a new motor should be all you need.
I wouldn't bother with an upgraded spring, but you could just wack in an M100 and that should bring it to near 350 fps.

To me, that looks like an M100 spring - 100m/s is 328fps
If only it were that simple! Most manufacturers these days must rate their spring with .25g or something because I know very little companies that have M100 that shoot at one joule. The variance of air seal between guns is probs another factor with another major one being barrel length and and barrel bore.
In theory it should work out as an M100 is a 1J spring. Here in Northern Ireland the legal limit is 1J but everyone I know uses an M90 and those with upgraded DMR length rifles need an M85.

The reason he was comparing GBB and AEG was because he saw one was made by WE and assumed it was GBB because that's what they mainly make.I'm looking for an aeg, and specifically the two I linked, I just wanted to know which would be the better choice.
I haven't heard much about the WE but the spring release feature when you turn it to safety looks interesting. Not sure how out of the box perform is or how the externals are.
With VFC you are getting pretty decent internals and some of the best externals out there, probably the best SCAR externals.
Unfortunately I don't know anyone personally or on this forum who have experience with the WE so I can't really do a comparison and say which is better as WE AEGs are relatively knew I think.
Your best bet is to do your own bit of research then form your own decision. I will do a bit aswell to help you out but I'm ultra busy until Wednesday.
Alternatively there is the TM recoil SCAR, if you can afford one I don't think you'll regret the decision

I know not everyone models there loadouts this way, but play some Vietnam War era games and watch films and documentaries.
I am obsessed with the Cold War so I plan to do a Vietnam war era loadout for both sides in the future.
Personally, and OD shirt with Tigerstripe trousers, Tigerstripe boonie with an M16 with a painted green and black tigerstripe pattern
There are alternatives, many LRRP members took AK's (well they were more likely Chinese Type 59s) and used a chicom chest rig due to ammo being more readily available and the fact that many early production M16 still had reliability problems, especially in the humid, muddy jungles.

Angling and Mountain biking.
At the minute the Mountain Biking is on hold due to my bike dieing on me.
I used do a bit of match fishing but I've diversified to fishing with plastics for perch on small rivers and general pike fishing and a bit of fly fishing on small rivers

Nope, CO2 has no liquid state.
It does but you need pressure like 60 atm or something at room temperature.

If your a sniper how many rounds do you really fire in a game? 20 or 30 isn't unreasonable considering how few rounds you really ought to be firing at people. There is a decent chance these aren't prohibitively expensive for an actual sniper weapon and role.
Still I think this is more in the realms of competition shooting and not skirmish as the price is quite steep but its also not something your going to use in an AEG. I would like to see an accuracy comparison.
I can't see competiton shooting with airsoft rifles.
If we can't use metal bb's, why should we be able to use these?
I think this is more of a concept idea to see what they can do, or for plinkers only.
I'm waiting for the silly YouTube comparison videos to come up where there are usually more tham one variable.
