Hi all, I have just picked up a second hand WE Hi Capa (Force TRex 6”) second hand. It runs well and no issues with FPS etc… but there are two problems my Google skills can’t find an answer to. 1, the slide and outer barrel are very rattly. I’ve stripped, cleaned and lubed everything but no effect. is this likely to be poor QC or more likely wear and more importantly is there anything I can do about it? 2, the thumb safety on the right side is extremely loose, it works fine and it doesn’t engage/disengage when I don’t want it to but it’s really annoying. I’ve removed both safeties and can’t find any wear - again anything obvious I can do here? TIA

😂 After my brain fart and spending a full 5 minutes wondering what I had done wrong and couldn’t see the hop up adjustment anymore it clicked - behold the ultra wide bore room sweeper!

Doing a bit of maintenance this evening as had a very loose charging handle on my ARP 556, clipped the spring and reworked to shorten it and wobble all sorted. Can anyone spot the small but significant mistake I made after re-assembling?!? 🤣 Took me a few minutes to figure it out!

Not quite, from why I have been able to find it’s some sort of Tibetan but looks to be just a bunch of random letters strung together!
-
Nope and nope again, I was convinced it was Tolkien Elvish for a bit but it’s definitely a genuine language (not that Sanskrit isn’t)

Fancied something a little different so picked up a new secondary - WE Hi-Capa T-Rex 6” Loving it so far and really like the weight/heft. Bonus points if you can name the language on the slide, took me bloomin hours today trying to Google it before I sussed it! 😆

Thanks both, I had dropped WE a message on FB but feel a bit more comfortable ordering now I know there should be an issue.

This may be a dumb question but can anyone confirm if these WE Hi Capa mags - https://airsoftdirect.uk.com/brands/we/we-hi-capa-5-1-magazine/ are compatible with this WE HC - https://www.socomtactical.net/we-hi-capa-force-t-rex-6-gbb-gold-barrel/ from what I can see they are both WE 5.1’s but just want a sense check before I push the button. TIA

Finally finished off my standard load out today, forgot to add my pistol holster for the photo. still debating on a fast helmet or not as they might clash with the goggles.

My thoughts exactly, the TR16 is great in the village if I hang around the edges but pushing inside the buildings is a bit tight. I can see the APR come into its own in the tight quarters and interested to see what the range it like beyond my tiny back garden.

My little G&G family is growing. My main primary is the TR16 556 and absolutely love it BUT it does get heavy by the end of a game day and can be a bit tight when moving from woodland where it excels into buildings and narrow spaces. So it’s little brother arrived today to keep it company and give me something to swap over to when my arms are getting heavy or have a lot of CQB coming up - ARP 556 Must say I’m very impressed with both of them. 😁

I couldn’t find anything online as it was all Kydex related but ended up figuring what the hell it’s worth a try before I start breakout the tools which was always likely to end badly! 😆

Hi All, I just picked up a polymer retention holder for my TM Samurai Edge. I googled a lot to check it would fit but as it’s a slightly odd shape the holster was slightly too tight to fit in - no way it would fit at all. Couldnt find any help online so decided to take a chance on a bodge fix - I know you can reheat Kydex to alter the shape so figured it may work with polymer, I stuck it in a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes. When it came out it was still rigid but had some flex to it, managed to ease the pew in a few times then repeated until it fitted properly. Not sure if this is a common thing but thought I’d post in case it was of any help to someone else with a similar issue.

Thought I’d post a quick update, finally picked up a chrono and tested the rif again. This time it was running consistently at 460-470!!! since it was second hand and hadn’t been used for a while I’m assuming it may have needed a good run through get to peak fps (I’m only guessing here). anyway I bit the bullet and followed a tutorial and stripped down to the gearbox (I know this is pretty normal for folks here but I have to confess I’m amazed I managed it). swapped out the spring for an M100 and swore a lot putting it back together. back on the chrono and it’s running a consistent 330-335 on 0.2’s and 300-305 on 0.25’s. I still don’t really know what the issue was but happy it’s running consistently that I don’t need to worry about being told it’s too hot for a site! shameless photo from my game last week for anyone that bothered to read this far! 😁

Thanks all, the half fabric mask did the trick and getting a decent cheek weld now. As far as the missus is concern all the gear and the rif came to £150 🤥😬😏

Hi All, I have a G&G TR16 with a Prometheus 6.03 barrel and an M110 spring. At my local site this weekend and it was chronoing at around 320-330 consistently but every 5-6 shots it would jump to 400-420 then back down. the marshals were “just” about ok with this for the day provided I was sensible but suggested I get it looked as as they won’t guarantee they will let it slide again. any ideas what this could be, I’m not hugely technical and not at all confident in stripping down and playing with it. cheers, Hamster

Managed to get the Mrs to send me a pic, it feels like fuse and connector are too close to the stock opening. Once I get the batteries seated and connect the tamiya there is a bunch of rigid wiring still out of the stock along with the connector. It’s a massive squeeze to try and get everything in which is where my concern on damaging the connections is coming from. Will see if I have a long enough screwdriver tonight to get the buffer tube off but is this set up normal for the rif?
-
It’s the MBR 556wh with standard stock and a 3 stick lipo. I didn’t think to take any pics when I had the battery compartment open but can take some later when I get back from work - I did have these on my phone though. The wiring from the rif is pretty rigid/straight so the connector sits slightly proud of the cover when open and even word when connected to the battery. Am I right your saying get the stock off and manipulate the wiring to a curve before putting back on to effectively shorten it?
-
Hi all, I have what I expect is a pretty noob question about battery installation. I recently picked up a G&G TR16 and had some trouble with getting the Titans that came with it to fit. Got some advice and ordered a set of lipo nunchuks which are smaller and are a better fit but even with the stock fully extended the connectors stick out a fair way and need a lot of bending and manipulation to fit back in enough to close the stock cover. My question is how rough is too rough when getting all the wiring and connectors back into the stock? The fuse and mofset wiring is pretty rigid and I don’t want to damage anything or am I just being over cautious? TIA, Hamster

Hi All, I’m running 11.1v titan nunchuks in my G&G TR16. From what I can find online it’s common for these to be a very tight fit and to get around this people trim the tabs inside the stock. im not the most confident when it comes to fiddling with my rifs and tend to leave everything stock but am concerned by how tight the batts are and how easy it would be to damage the connections getting them out. has anyone trimmed or removed the tabs and be able to offer some advise on how to do it. i don’t have a pic of the batt compartment on hand but can take one later if helpful. Thanks both, I may well give the riser a go as everything is comfortable it’s just the sight acquisition giving me problems. that said those Delta Mike masks do look nice 🤔
-
Hi all, I’m having an issue with my half face mesh mask clashing with my stock which is making getting a reliable sight picture through my red dot difficult. specifically the domed cheek stopping my head get in the right position. any ideas what might help? Do I need to raise it with a riser, can I somehow mod the mask or do I need to consider another style mask? Pics for context TIA
-
Still working on this so excuse the jeans and trainers. MTP jacket, drop leg holster, sling and plate carrier. bullet ant goggles, shemagh and cheapy mesh mask. need to find a helmet that fits my head well enough
-
My newest acquisition, pretty stock externally with the vertical grip, reflex and sling added today. dead chuffed with this though I may need to join the gym to be able to carry it all day - it’s a heavy boy!

Hi all, I recently picked up a TM Samurai Edge M9 on a whim and have a mag query as I can’t find anywhere with TM’s in stock. I’ve tried the usual Google searches but can’t seem to find anywhere that definitively confirms what, if any, third party magazines are compatible. A few places have stated WE M9/92’s will fit but wanted to see if anyone had any first hand experience with this before I push the button. cheers, Hamster
