Double Eagle M904g – Aka the Original Q Honey Badger
Point Two Balls replied to mightyjebus's topic in AEG/GBBR Reviews
Hi All. After reading all this, I’ve now got an M509G in the arsenal and am waiting for an M509L to come into stock somewhere! In the mean time and for reference, once the small un-windy hand guard bolt thing has been removed and the hand guard itself pulled off, other hand guards fit! The one from my SSR4 goes straight on 😜 Will look at the barrel nut and inner barrels soon and report back on what I find. Pat. -
M4 stock/buffer tube not parallel ???
Point Two Balls replied to Point Two Balls's topic in General Help
Novvy guys have agreed to replace the receiver. Happy ending. Pat... -
Hi Guys. Is it just my AEG or do a lot of them have stocks and buffer tubes that rise slightly towards the back? Everything is flat and smooth and nothing is bent. It’s the back face of the receiver body that’s not perpendicular to itself. Cheers, Pat.

Hi Guys, What are the pro and cons? It is purely user comfort and user asthetics, or is there some real truth about longer barrel / more accuracy in an Airsoft environmemnt which realistically isn't often much more than 30-50 metres. Thanks, Pat.

Hi Guys, Anyone owned or worked on a Lancer Tactical Gen 3? Thinking of buying one, but could with an opinion who has actual hands on experience. Cheers, Pat.

Cyma CM.125 USP. Used only a few times in the garden. Couple of minor marks, but otherwise good condition and shoots perfectly every time. No box - sorry - box long gone. 2 x mags and battery charger - charger lead cut so the battery block could be used on a bigger charger, but can be easily joined back together with a twist, or a solder, or both and a bit of heatshrink. £50 posted.£50

Reducing Trigger Pull - Easy CNC Trigger job ?
Point Two Balls replied to Point Two Balls's topic in General Help
Hi Guys. Great advice and I get it all now after knowing what to look for. I like the sound of drilling and tapping the gear box under and behind the trigger and reducing the pre-engagement as a cheap fix, but I know get the whole mosfet thing as well (never fully understood it before). So a cheap ish mosfet like a Gate Astor and an adjustable trigger like a MAXX cnc one would give me a hair trigger and ability to use a better battery and make the gun last longer if not abused. So for less than £100, I ignited be able to do this, and if the rest of the gun gives up (it’s a £100 CYMA after all), I’d still have the mosfet and trigger to fit to a new gun. Sound ok? Cheers, Pat. -
Reducing Trigger Pull - Easy CNC Trigger job ?

Cyma CM-513 -
Hi Guys, My step son CQB's with me, but as he's a little dude, he doesn't like how far he has to pull the trigger on his CYMA. Is fitting a CNC trigger the cheapest easiest option? Cheers, Pat.

I think i did a thing......DYE and FAST
Point Two Balls replied to Point Two Balls's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Hi. My helmet has the adjuster on the back of it and locks on pretty tight to my head. And I'm lucky that I don't really get a sweaty head and couldn't even steam up my cheap Raven mask. Cheers, Pat. -
Hi Guys, After mulling over the eye pro, face mask, helmet, hat dilema, I think I did a thing..... I removed all the interior and the straps of the Nuprol FAST helmet, swapped a few screws around so they didn't scratch the DYE lens and put the DYE strap around the back of the helmet, and it all seems to work and stay in place by only using the adjuster on the back of the helmet - no chin strap required. Not committed to cutting off the straps yet. Looks pretty stealthy to me... Pat.

Nimh to Lipo in AER & AEP - straight swap?
Point Two Balls replied to Point Two Balls's topic in Electric Guns
Ah - ok - makes sense that dropping 1V would slow things down. I wanted to loose the crane stock and fit a slimline stock, so that means my battery had to fit completely inside the buffer tube so I opted for this one: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/specna-arms-7-4v-600mah-20-40c-battery-for-pdw-mini-tamiya No way will anything else bigger fit. Not sure A 25C will be much different even if I could find one to fit. So I guess this is the limitation of a slimmer stock. Pat. -
Nimh to Lipo in AER & AEP - straight swap?
Point Two Balls replied to Point Two Balls's topic in Electric Guns
So....my stock battery was an 8.4v 1100mAh nimh. The only lipo I could find that would fit in the stock buffer tube was a 7.4v 600mAh Lipo. The gun just seems not as sharp and full auto is definitely slower with the Lipo fitted. Is this normal ??? Thanks Pat. -
-
A couple more pics. Further reading suggests this is pretty normal. Option is to buy a smaller 600mA 7.4v (rather than the 800mAq 11.1v supplied battery) or to buy the extended buffer tube (which means you can't collapse the stock). Pretty poor for a gun that costs almost £200. Pat.

Too long.

Hi Guys, My Ronin arrived today. Love it. But there’s no way the supplied lipo is fitting in the buffer tube. Options/ideas/thoughts? Cheers, Pat.

Nimh to Lipo in AER & AEP - straight swap?
Point Two Balls replied to Point Two Balls's topic in Electric Guns
Thanks @BigStew. I’m competent with swapping a plug for the AER and that adapter makes the AEP easy too. Pat. Or this Lipo even easier: https://www.airsoftworld.net/world-exclusive-lithium-polymer-aep-battery-li-po-lipo-7-4v-550mah.html What’s the max safe Lipo I can put into a entry level Cyma (513) ? if at all…. Pat.
