    THE TM MWS thread

Yes you are correct, I meant the G&P V2. .. The golden one. I corrected it in the post. https://shop.jkarmy.com/g-p-marui-mws-aluminum-buffer-version-2-for-marui-tm-m4-mws-gbb-series.html I can't find a second version of it though. And in the description it said "fits mws buffer tube". At redwolf airsoft website "drop in fit" for this buffer is in the description. https://www.redwolfairsoft.com/g-p-aluminum-buffer-version-2-for-tokyo-marui-m4a1-mws-gbb-buffer-tube.html I did find one reddit post in the meantime with somebody saying v1 would fit while V2 is indeed only for proprietary tube of g&p. So beware if you buy it because the shops don't really mention that or at least I think it isn't clear.

    THE TM MWS thread

My last info was that they hope to restock at the end of January. The HSB is waiting to be machined and the one making the nubs is having some health issues. So patience is the way to go it seems. On an other topic: Does anybody have experience with the G&P Aluminum Buffer? After running the MWS stock so far and only changing externals I planned on using an aluminum buffer for durability and possibility of weights. It arrived today and to my utter surprise it doesn't seem to fit in the buffer tube at all.... Anybody has an idea why or heard of that happening? I found a reddit threat with a guy asking the same thing in June but no responses. As this buffer has been recommended numerous times from people I feel like I might be doing something wrong? Besides externals the gun is stock. Best regards, Anubis

    THE TM MWS thread

Thanks for the replies guys. Yesterday mine arrived and I seem to have a little more trouble. Did you also get the version 2 variant? Did you leave the spacer plate in or switch it for the PTS Plate? Because with the spacer in the QD Swivels don't fit all the way into the opening because the spacer opening/QD Plate opening isn't deep enough. If I leave the spacer plate out it feels not very secure though because the PTS Plate doesn't have the little nose that fit into the groove in the receiver. So it is pretty much secured by the castle nut pressure only and can move laterally. In addition the buffer tube isn't quite rotationally secured because the plate is also slightly too big and can disconnect from the buffer tube groove. I don't feel comfortable to use it to be honest. Anybody has any experiences with other sling plates on the mws? I also found: https://shop.jkarmy.com/artisan-sling-mount-plate-for-marui-tm-mws-gbbr.html

    THE TM MWS thread

Hey guys and girls (maybe?), I will soon be the proud owner of an MWS as well. This thread is a cave of wonder and awe for a GBBR and MWS newcomer as myself. It was a very entertaining and enlightening read while waiting for a chance to get one in Germany. I have looked to get a TM MWS since 2017 but there were not that many sold and up until now they were mostly with filed out markings (and still expensive). Now there finally was a chance to get a licensed one and I took it. It sold out in 3 days so I guess there are more desperate Germans out there. I used to plan on keeping it pretty stock but now I have so many plans. My wallet hates this thread for sure but I love it. I do have a couple of immediate questions for the TM MWS hive mind that were talked about but I am not sure what ended up to be the consensus or I simply didn't understand. I plan on using green gas and maybe switch to propane later and I think a reinforced spring set seems to be a good idea? Would this be good https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/dynamic-precision-reinforced-aluminum-valve-blocker-for-marui-m4a1-mws ? In addition I have read about the sixG High Speed Buffer Spacer and it seemed to be a good idea to save the buffer tube cap with stronger gases but I honestly didn't quite understand what the draw backs are if there are any? I also want to put a QD plate on the end of the receiver since that would be my preferred attachment point. Ideally I would want it to be free moving to both sides as well. On page 177 RMDavis said he managed to fit an RS Magpul QD plate which is the only source I could find to support that possibility and many reviews that said RS plates won't fit because the MWS has an oval opening instead of round or something? Is there anybody here that has more experience with fitting a QD plate? I also saw there is an angrygun one for the MWS but there seems to be a lot of quality control issues. Somebody also suggested the PTS QD plates. Do they fit without mods and would be a better option maybe? I am looking forward to learning and tinkering with the MWS in the future and will probably will run into problems along the way to it is really cool to have such a dedicated community to help out. Best regards, Anubis
