what is the purge issue, could u elaborate more on it? To everything else - seems u were not ready to play with gbbr's, i can get behind "mags are too delicate" issue but everything else is what GBBR's are, they are all like that, even the mag issue - u cant throw their mags around or on the ground, they are all heavy if they are used on rifle type of gun, and no wonder gas guns are temperature affected. If this is your main problem i would say go with GBLS DAS GDR15 , it will have all you want.
-
Noice, will give it a go, I saw that until u modded your magazines to green gas mod it gave you a larger differentiation between your "worst" and "best" performing mag... I will try to do the green gas mod on my worst mag and try and see the difference then thanks!
-
Aye, will have what to do in the following weeks but i guess this variation of consistent FPS isnt going to have much of a difference on gun performance- bb efective distance and shot consistency? Also if i would do a green gas mod , it shouldnt change a thing with different fps ouputs? Also anyone else noticed this behavior or is it only me?
-
I have ordered them in one batch from firesupport. I have taken apart my worst mag yesterday and relubed everything, as far as i can see I see no damage or worn gas route, relubing and refitting didnt change a thing, it still chronoes at the same fps... they are all v2 and they are fairly new, like i got them in in March this year! Played 4 games, maybe? Should I try and dissassemble them all and try to search for differences?
-
My MTR kicked ass at my local event as well, I'm loving it and i cant go play with anything else, even my TM MP7 is sitting in a box (but i still really love it) Anyways guys, i came around a problem i only now noticed. Why is different mags giving me different FPS? I have 4 mags, and all of them are giving different consistent chrono results... My best mag gives me ~400FPS, my worst mag gives me ~367FPS. Is there anything to be done for it to be more even? Also i dont think that his kind of variation between mags gives any difference to the output (shot consistency, or range)?
-
I wouldnt say its inconsistent. U find a desirable FPS and loctite the NPAS screw, then its nice and sturdy and goes nowhere. AG V2 is a little more inconsistent than G&P NPAS, the best consistency i've seen is on G&P adjustable nozzle stop.
-
In that case u are talking strictly about buffer spring guide. As far as i know there are no good alternatives to OG plastic one - if you change it to metal the recoil will be harder, but everything else in the gun will be fucked. Also guys here tend to not recommend AG parts, which I can agree with, their QC is really bad and u will never know if u will get a decent product or not. If you really want to save the OG buffer spring guide from any damage: buy SixG HSB and just save yourself a headache and 3D print Buffer Spring Guide PART B (link to .stl its in this thread ~190 page somewhere) like I did.
-
By buffer setup u mean: buffer tube? or buffer spring guide? So I did it today, i've come to conclusion - G&P Adjustable nozzle (NPAS) works with adjustable nozzle stop - nozzle stop holds G&P NPAS nozzle sturdier than TM OG one. BUT in my case its a no go, on a lowest setting it gives me 410FPS, highest - 460; so i've put the NPAS set back together and its ~393FPS - so its still working correctly after using it for ~ 20-30shots with adjustable nozzle stop. I wonder what could i do to loose 10FPS? In the photo on the right - lowest setting on adjustable nozzle stop.
-
Its working fine, u just need to loctite it a bit since its less tight then G&P, but since I will play on higher fps i went with G&P adjustable nozzle (NPAS) set, its has far better quality build so entire AG v2 will be a spare just in case. Tomorrow i will have some time to test whether G&P NPAS nozzle will work with adjustable nozzle stop - so if i dont like how G&P NPAS consistency will be later on i will be able to use it as enchanced nozzle for adjustable nozzle stop after i loctite the shit out of the screw inside
-
I wonder though what is the difference between "g&p enchanced 5.0 nozzle set" and "g&p 5.0 npas nozzle set"... To me it looks like nozzle stop is different but the nozzle itself only differs by NPAS having a screw in it and "enchanced nozzle" not... If thats true I will be able to use NPAS nozzle with adjustable nozzle stop if i find NPAS unreliable? Will have to try this when i get back on monday, damn, i cant wait to field my MTR next Sunday again!

Regarding the 4.5 and 5.0 nozzles on shorter than required inner barrels. It shouldnt work: if you put a standart tm nozzle in longer barrel it gives an absurd amount of FPS but has no gas efficiency and etc. Those nozzles are adapted for longer barrels and to my knowledge they should give LESS gas output for them, so if you will put it inside SHORTER barrels then they were constructed for the gun either wont shoot, will give a low fps, could as well jam. But hey it's just words of caution, let me know your findings on this one.

Yes i am talking about this adjustable valve STOP. I am trying to use it in conjunction with G&P plastic nozzle which came with reinforced nozzle set, but I dunno, it just seem not to work with it... Maybe its because my inner barrel is 410mm length? Well dunno, I am going away for vacations, will have to try more when I get back, somehow my TM MP7 is shooting as consistent as MWS does with G&P 5.0 NPAS set and all other upgrades (MP7 wasnt upgraded at all, just nozzle changed to reinforced one), just MWS is shooting further away, probably because of ~33FPS difference between them
-
Thanks, will try Also @SSPKali would u mind doing a quick photo how did u install G&P adjustable nozzle piston? I have problems with mine, it doesnt give any adjustment whether i set it on high/low or medium setting and the sound after shot is really weird
-
Its okay dude, i wanted to decrease the fps a lil bit, thanks for the tip, but can you clarify, what you suggested to do it will help with gas consistency?
-
so in theory this should help with gas consistency? will it affect FPS?
-
Okay guys, so up to the next problem. I've read in this tread that buffer tube cap unscrewing itself is no big deal and i should use loctite... What loctite do you suggest me using? Low or medium power? Another problem I also ran into yesterday was with G&P 5.0 NPAS nozzle: In my setup the gun is shooting too hot, field limit for non dmr's is around 425FPS, i was trying to set up my MTR to shoot at 393FPS but it is practically impossible for me to do that with only trying to set up NPAS. I can set it up to have a consistent 380-387FPS or 410FPS , and I would be fine with 410 FPS but it randomly shoots up to 442FPS which is way over my field limit and judges wont let me field my gbbr I thought that this is probably of NPAS screw getting too loose, so i loctited it with medium strength loctite, but still, its either 387 or 410 FPS with random 1-2 shots with +10 FPS. So my question to you is what can i do to loose ~10FPS ? I would like to go for ~400FPS on my build for summer games. I've got a Guns Modify 150% Nozzle Reset Spring Set installed, in my G&P reinforced nozzle set, so i've wondered if i would change the spring which is holding nozzle in place to a standard one, would it lower my FPS?
-
So long story short - i've put everything back, meaning, ML 410mm crazy jet, decepticon + omega nub, G&P reinforced nozzle set, dynamic precision enchanced sealing buffer, AG 170% nozzle return spring, G&P Nozzle NPAS 5.0... AND unscrewed buffer tube by one full cycle back... AND bolt lock works now, though not everytime on one of the mags, but it works pretty damn well, i dont want to give another turn because of what WildWeasel told me, so I will just wait out for HSB to arrive to me and then will try to give it another full rotation backwards and see the results But for now i am really happy with it, i've put my NPAS to shoot on 394FPS, and it holds it really REALLY god damn well, its WAY better than AG V2 NPAS (no surprise here, huh). I also got the G&P adjustable piston valve if for some reason G&P 5.0 NPAS will start failing me Thank you for your help guys, I really appreciate it and cant wait to field my gun to see the differences of the innerbarrel and bucking upgrade Have a nice one
-
Yeah, so i understood correctly, thanks I have one more question, isnt the bolt travel speed tied to how much FPS my gun is shooting at? I am asking because yesterday i thought that the bolt carrier speed is directly linked to it ONLY (while my gun had 410mm crazy jet, 2021 decepticon 70 degree, G&P NPAS nozzle 5.0) but when I lowered the fps with G&G NPAS to 270fps it still didnt lock the bolt for me... So I guess this is not entirely true is it? Can this also be because of a better airseal? I noticed that gas efficiency was waaay better than it was with AG V2 NPAS nozzle, and maybe thats what also has some effect on bolt carrier traveling speed?

My HSB is in my country but it is stuck in sorting centre for 5 days already... called them, they said they will look into it, so fingers crossed i will get my HSB by the end of this week. Thanks Dave, will try to do this one turn at a time and hopefully one will be enough But as I understood, if I will put the HSB in I might have to unscrew buffer tube a little bit again ?
-
Thank you for the words of caution, regarding the bolt catch not moving freely - it moves freely and bolt catch works just fine when i reverted everything else back. One more question, since I am not from UK, i wonder what is 10p? Is it a 10 pence coin? If it is i will find something of similar width and height (maybe my HSB will finally come?) and i see you are talking about couple of turns, but what about 1 full turn, it shouldnt be too much, should it?
-
Will loosening the buffer tube help me in this situation ?
-
Regarding the failing bolt lock function - i've switched my nozzle to G&P reinforced nozzle, with 170% nozzle return spring (that i used before in AG v2 NPAS nozzle set, when bolt lock was still working), all other bolt carrier springs are 150% strength, and i installed adjustable nozzle valve set from G&P (5.0). Bolt lock is not functioning on any of my mags. Is this because the gun is shooting too hot? I will try to switch back to my previous setup tomorrow, but I've read that you guys were using 410mm crazy jets without any problems, so help? EDIT: I've reverted the changes back - TM stock inner barrel, TM stock bucking&nub, AG V2 NPAS nozzle set with 170% return spring aaand - bolt lock is working 100% on all my mags. Ideas?
-
Could this be a cause of it? That wear on the bolt? asking about this part specifically EDIT: I've found out that i bented one of my mag's, fixed the bent and it started bolt locking, but still bolt lock is not 100% anymore, all my other mags arent bented near the bolt lock latch on the mag, is there any fixes i can try?
-
Yea, another head scratcher for you guys, so i changed the inner barrel to 410mm ML crazy jet and ML decepticon 70degree 2021 bucking alongside ML omega nub It shoots with angry gun v2 npas at 410 FPS, all seemed fine until... i found out that my bolt lock stopped functioning! it doesnt lock the bolt on empty mag anymore, why is that? The only thing i changed from previous setup that worked just fin is the inner barrel and bucking! Is my gun shooting on 410 fps is causing that ? Before i did this upgrade (this morning) bolt lock was still functioning! Lowered the NPAS to minimum and the bolt lock sometimes works (on dry fire) and sometimes it doesnt, what could be the problem here?
-
Okay it gave in after excess heat and bashing on top of it, i even managed not to damage the last nut! now goes the upgrades EDIT: FOR ANYONE WHO HAS MTR16, the last nut should be unscrewed in the same direction as the first one!
