Shirt/Trousers for the larger gentlemen question
Tank423 replied to Punisher3990's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Looks like a good set up chap, load your PC up with all the stuff you'd take out into a game before you adjust it so it'll sit right and be comfortable. The belt and harness combo I use is Viper, adjusts out to a 52 waist and down to 30/32, it's comfortable and the harness offers lots of adjustability, would sit under your PC well. You could also use a pair of normal suspenders if you wanted something slimmer/smoother under your PC. I have 2 different belts and swap the harness over depending on if I want to run my VSR/L96 or MP5. One is laser cut molle and the other is molle loops and I can't say I notice any difference in them aside from how they look TBH. I used mesh cause I'm a sweaty bastard and fog up goggles within minutes of being on the field, I don't think any normal anti fog unit could keep up unless it was running big fans. A helmet will only make the fogging worse for you but will give you a more comfortable place to mount an exfog unit. I've never liked external knee pads as I could never get them to sit comfortably and be on the right position so didn't bother with them till I got trousers with inserts, they will help with the baggyness you suffer if you can deal with external ones though. You could always run a dropleg holster if a belt platform wouldn't work for you. -
Looks like a secutor velites variant from a quick Google search which are a rebrand of golden eagle shotguns which are pretty highly rated. Can't find that exact model though.

Shirt/Trousers for the larger gentlemen question

Emerson Gear trousers have Velcro straps around the knee area to deal with the baggyness, there are also cords inside the trousers that are adjustable to keep the knee pads over your knees at all times, it feels strange at first but after a few minutes it feels natural. Here's a picture of how they fit me (38/40W, down from 52!) -

Big boys unite! Emerson gear without a doubt, I'm a large chap but short and struggled to find decent gear that fitted well until I came across EG stuff. It's around £110 for a UBACS and trousers, lots of different straps for adjusting and suiting you as you drop weight. Knee pads are quite thick but comfortable and definitely help if you have dodgy knees like me (fucked them up on the edge of a paving slab of all things) One thing I would recommend is going a size up on the UBACS as the main body is form fitting and shows every lump and bump. There's a few pictures of me in my gear showing how it fits on different threads. -
https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/other-equipment/bbs-bundle-gas_i84532 £75... I've smoked strong stuff in my past but this guy has some next level devils lettuce if he thinks that's a reasonable price. Works out to be £77.25 retail price for what he has listed in the quantities he has.

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Well MB01 loaded with PDI and Airsoft pro parts. Paid less for it than the cost of the trigger unit in it. One very happy chap even if it ends up shooting like shit 😂 -
In a strange update to this post, I actually purchased the Well MB01 he had listed. The upgrades in it alone cost more than I paid for it, whether it's actually any good for skirmishing is yet to be determined but it was a bloody bargain on my end.

That is interesting information, you have now ruined my day and I must look for a G3 😂 Not very painful at all, can have the gun stripped, checked, greased and back together in 20 mins. Bada bing has a couple of really good videos on the Apache, well worth watching 👍 -

I run 5 45 round mags in my Apache (1 in gun, 4 on belt) and it's enough for medium length games and not that heavy. I offset the weight with a USP with 3 mags on the other side so doesn't feel like one side is heavier than the other. 100% recommend getting an MP5, not biased at all... -
I was tempted by this to replace the one I sold a few years back and dearly miss but not for that price with a single mag. Mine was decked out with upgrades and the proper QD silencer with 5 mags and it sold for 275...

https://prefired.co.uk/ads/silverback-srs-a2-covert-super-bundle/ A single picture on a £1700 listing... Clearly too much effort to take more than one picture while he had everything out.
-
He's asking £1100 for a gun he can't even be bothered to list the parts used to build it, that's enough of a red flag for anyone. It's not like it's made of thousands of parts, it's what 30-40 parts that have been upgraded? God forbid he spends an hour writing a proper listing for it.

https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/40178-donate-help-equip-us The true definition of a dreamer, let's all donate for brand new guns and gear to a completely unknown "cause"

More like a sixhead. I polish it and blind 'em with the shine. Can't shoot me if they can't see 🤷🏼♂️

Couldn't stop looking at my moobs and had a mid game tacti-wank

It's the front on shots that are to be avoided, I don't fancy posting my last one 😂 We can start meal team six though, won't ever go hungry with you being a butcher....

Tiger stripe, MP5, Mac11 and a hairline like I was born in the 60's.... The only picture from last game day where I don't look like the founding member of meal team six 😂

From one big man to another, drink plenty and don't exert yourself, play at your pace even if that's trundling behind the main group. It's a long day walking around carrying gear, you'll be absolutely shattered and aching everywhere by the end but craving another game day the week after! Avoid the cameraman too, they take very unflattering photos unless it's a upper torso and headshot 😂 Have fun and let us know how it goes!

Or they give it a theme and name it then paint the hardcase in the theme, have gaudy quotes all over it and an insane price tag. (Looking at you "joker" themed aap)
-
Can you adopt me please?
-
Sounds suspiciously like the one I reserved and put a deposit down on. Did it also have a steel trigger?
-
Certainly wasn't expecting a compliment like that on an airsoft forum... I'll show you more if you pay with pistols 😉

Rather wet day at Spartan woodland today, briefing and first game was lots of rain then mostly cleared up for the day, humidity was high and my fat ass was sweating non stop, even had sweat dripping over the mesh goggles and filling the holes so at points it became difficult to see. VSR was all over the shop, it's old and well used so it's probably time to retire it to a wall hangar and get a new bolt action. M190 did it's usual trick of going full auto after half a mag so meant I couldn't use it half the time as some sections of the site are semi only. Sand viper performed well for my first game day with it, only used it in the first game alongside the M190 as I run dual pistols with the VSR. Switched out to the MP5 and USP from game 2 onwards and thoroughly enjoyed every single second of it, 5 mags kept me going nicely and got quite a few kills with it. On .3's it was doing well out to about 60m but definitely need to get a new barrel and bucking as it's not super consistent and overhops towards the end of flight but managed to work around it for the most part today. Second to last time I decided to take the Mac out with me too which was a hoot even in single shot, will definitely be taking out both next time and running them both in auto for some giggles. Sadly in the final 3 phase game the red dot got shot out on the MP5 in the first phase, right after i'd spent the intermission zeroing it so a little bit gutting but it's only a cheapy and a replacement is about £20. I even bought a sight protector for that exact scenario and decided in the morning it would be fine without... Hindsight and all that. All in all a great day and got to know a few people and played well with them and very much looking forward to the next game day.

As a big boy that suffers these struggles I highly recommended Emerson gear stuff, I finally got my long awaited tiger stripe gear from socom and couldn't be happier with it TBH. Fits nice and has lots of room and adjustable straps. Would go for a size up on the top though just for that extra comfort as the main body of the shirt shows every lump and bump 😂
