  1. Hi all,

     

    I'm trying to locate a replacement bolt release for my GBBR which seems to have snapped (see pics) Rather than send it all back to Patrol Base, id rather try and replace the part myself. I know that Double Eagle utilises Western Arms and G&P parts but cant seem to find any replacements online.  Could anyone help me out as to where I can buy one? Preferably in the UK.  I've had a general look on google with no decent results.

  2. Have spent the last four days trying to get a sensible answer from UPS via email and Twitter. Both are terrible responses. Cutting a long story short, neither of them actually help or answer any questions; they simply repeat what is said on the tracking information. 

     

    Managed to give them a call and spoke to several departments. Eventually got through to brokerage who stated that the only reason my package has been held for almost four months is because TG didn't submit the correct paperwork; an original invoice depicting VAT and delivery charges.  One. Simple. Document. They said they would call TG and request the paperwork. Great, I thought, we're finally getting somewhere.

     

    I had a copy of the invoice that was sent to me from TG and forwarded that to UPS brokerage. Have had no reply.  Emailed TG asking them to submit the document needed. No reply. 

     

    Latest update: Parcel is still going back to TG. Emailed TG again, this time they replied saying sorry and they will give me a refund by the end of the day. I asked them to just submit the requested document. Have heard nothing since. Not even a motion to actually process a refund. This was on Monday morning. 

     

    I'm not gonna win this one 😩.

     

    It seems so senseless that after all this time, I feel no one will actually do anything to help. UPS are a shower of shit, and TG just can't be bothered. It can be sorted with just a simple document. Sorry guys but after four months of trying, I just wanna give up. I'm glad that most of you have got your new rifs, but as for me, I'm really, really fucked off.

    Just picked this up from my lovely neighbours!!

     

    So after a full refund from TG, it seems that UPS finally managed to pull their finger out and delivered it!

     

    I'm not put off entirely by the whole fuck about, I have however wasted a lot of my time chasing it up!

     

     

    Well done mate. My latest update is that it's cleared customs, and is either arriving back with the sender or to me on 25th Feb 2021. Yep, it's going back in time .Unfuckingbelievable. I don't know what else to say 🤷.

    Calling the UK brokerage number took me 2 hours to get through last time, however, I called the main UPS customer support number on their site a few days ago and I got through to someone in literally 2 minutes.

    Either way, if it does end up being sent back to TG, they will reship it out and it should take ~10 days to get to you, so in a way, you may end up getting the package sooner by it being returned and then sent out as fresh.

     

    Very true mate, but no doubt I'll be charged import fees and VAT again!!!

    Be prepared to wait easily over an hour in a queue. In fact I am in that very queue right now at 1 hr & 12 minutes after two unsuccessful calls last week.

  6. Does anyone know of a way of contacting customs at Stanford Le-NoHope?

     

    According to the latest update from UPS, my package has been with customs for the last month. They've said I'm more than welcome to contact them but can't provide me with contact details! This was after they asked me to contact TG to ask them why my parcel was delayed, because UPS couldn't tell me the details! Just can't seem to win at the moment.  TG can't help any further and fair play to them, they have tried to assist where they can.

    Me.  Was sent on 11/2/21 - over two months now.  it seems my package has been a subject of investigation by customs, and UPS wont give a clear answer as to what the issue is.  TG are in talks with them but no one is telling me anything.  I don't know if the parcel is coming to me or going back to TG.  Its really frustrating not knowing what's going on especially after waiting so long and paying £250 for something I may never get!!

    Same here, had an email this morning saying I can now open a dispute with the shipper.  Its not the shipper I'm blaming, its you incompetent idiots!! SMH

    You've still got all this to come. my friend.

     

    It appears that until all the packages on the truck are scanned/accepted by customs, ours stay there and are 'scanned in' again every 72 hours.

    My package arrived today!!

     

    Best part is, this is the second of two parcels sent out by TG.  The first one is still in Stanford, and has been for 3 weeks now.  This second one was in Poland for 3 weeks, and yesterday was imported, then today was delivered. No customs clearance, no firearms form, no English invoice. Its very clear that UPS are all over the place.

     

    There's still hope out there guys.

    I just replied to the email they sent it from, as an attachment.  Had another email back a few minutes later thanking me for my efforts!  I guess you'll have to wait until they send an official request.

    What was interesting was what he said is likely happening and would explain why people wait different times. Our packages will all be loaded up in trailers waiting to depart. However, regardless of whether all your paperwork is good to go and has cleared customs, there will be other packages in the trailer waiting to be cleared or missing paperwork. The trailer won't move until the last one is sorted. They may unload and sort out packages that are good to go but you can imagine this is a last resort and something they would avoid doing at all costs.

  13. So this is a new one from UPS.

     

    They have just sent me an email asking for me to provide them with an English invoice of my order from TG.  They attached the original Polish one, and are saying they wont clear it until they have it in English.

     

    Im not aware of TG providing English language invoices, so i've simply replied with screen captures of my order from the TG website.  This is just getting silly now....

    Lesson learned was don't buy anything at 0130 in the morning when you are really tired.  This probably also applies to buying RIFs as I find my willpower to resist wanes as the hour lengthens.

     

    😂Probably still delivered quicker to you from Uganda, than the current UPS fiasco!

    It could be worse - around 20 years ago (around the dawn of internet shopping) my team mate and I ordered ~$500usd of Paintball gear from the states. Never showed. No tracking number. Couldn't get a refund (no buyers protection back in those days). Seller (a major manufacturer that still exists) couldn't give a shit. We had to write off the money and forget about it.

     

    2 years (yes, years!) later, a big box shows up at my mates house with 'Christchurch England NOT Christchurch New Zealand!' scrawled across it. Turns out it had been stuck in New Zealand customs for years because some dumb fuck in the US Paintball company warehouse forgot to write the country on the box.

     

    We've come a long way in terms of shopping since then.
