  1. Used to use one on my LMG - dual capability is useful but the anirsoft version isn’t that durable, I think I went through about 4 of them in a couple of years
  2. Calling all airsofters living in / around the York area. im looking to meet some likeminded people who live locally to occasionally meet up, have a few drinks, talk guns, gear and war stories, chat sh*t and maybe if we feel particularly energetic… actually play some Airsoft. ive been playing on and off for the last 17 years ( mainly off) and always been that guy who flies solo; figured it would be nice to make some friends in our fine sport. feel free to reach out. Matt.
  3. as someone else stated above, all tm pistols are reliable. Both of the pistols mentioned in the real world would be double stacked magazines - makes no difference in Airsoft but means you have a larger gas reservoir than say a traditional 1911. Both have pros and cons in my opinion. m&p pros - highly ergonomic and really comfy in the hand and looks a lot nicer ( only my opinion) cons - not as many after market parts as hi-Capa. hi Capa Pros - lots of upgraded parts easily available cons - not as aesthetically pleasing as the M&P. I have a 5.1 and it took a Kimber style externals to stop it looking so square. I’ve owned most types of pistol over the years; I’ve found the ergonomics of the M&P to be the best in my hand. alternatively if you’re willing to venture away from the options you listed; the HK.45 is really good - once again a highly ergonomic pistol. Or the FNX.45 is also an excellent choice but lacks upgrade parts.
  4. I’m just going to leave this here
  5. Verdict: Blackhawk Omnivore holsters are great, they are universal but very secure due to their active retention which is applied to flashlight (or 20mm mounting bracket if non flashlight version) and at a reasonable price. It’s not always the easiest for us southpaws to find good holsters but this one works. if you are looking to mount it to a QLS system though you will need an adaptor as the two are not directly compatible. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4948094/files
  6. I’ve ended up changing my plan and ordering a Blackhawk omnivore and I also have a TLR-1 on its way so will update you on my opinion when it arrives
  7. How do you find the retention? Is the passive retention enough or do you feel active retention ie strap/ hood or button release would make it more secure?
  8. does the omnivore allow for optics? Unfortunately I can’t find any left handed holsters on Aliexpress. I bought some mid ride QLS mounts from them that arrived today, fraction of the price of any available in the UK.
  9. Thanks, appreciate your response im looking at buying from Kydex customs the only other thing I probably should have mentioned above is im left handed so not the everywhere does suitable holsters. the flashlight I’m using is a genuine O-light PL turbo Valkyrie - very nice light.
  10. Hi everyone; I’m looking at purchasing my first kydex holster and just want some validation that the passive retention is enough to keep my sidearm secure. im not fast and definitely not elegant; more bull in a china shop, that sometimes falls over. I’ve ran lots of holsters over the years all with some form of active retention, whether it be a fabric strap or warrior universal button release; and even with this security liked to opt for a bungee lanyard just in case ( some of my pistols are not lanyard compatible). This will be on a mid-ride belt mount with leg strap. I run a variety of pistols ( FNX, G17, P226, M45, Hi Capa) so would be probably be getting a universal holster whos retention is flashlight based. So my options are: universal holster with flashlight retention costing a total of £60 or seperate light bearing, active retention hood at £110 per pistol. What should I do?
  11. APFG Sig LT Spear Sig.556 suppressor flashlight d-bal Replica unity red dot mount Vortex Crossfire replica unity magnifier mount vortex micro magnifier Airsoft Artisan buffer tube folding stock PTS stock Opinions?
  12. If you’re running mid caps, they fit in MP5 mag pouches.
  13. Extremely impressive collection!

  15. For years I’ve been using a glass fronted cabinet to store my guns; I loved the theory of it but in reality it wasn’t what I was wanting so I finally bought a proper gun rack. before the rack after now.. I’ve shown you mine.. you show me yours.
  16. I’ve used all kinds of eye protection, full face mesh, mesh goggles, full seal lens goggles and glasses. Each have their own advantages and disadvantages: mesh - no fog and decent level of protection but if someone is using a lower quality / older bb, there is a chance that on impact they will shatter and send shards of plastic towards your eyes ( talking from experience) glasses - less fog than full seal and more protective front on than mesh but risk of BBs getting in from the sides. also, I’ve seen plenty of people forget to put them back on before heading into the game zone - very dangerous. full seal - best protection all round, high risk of fog. But you’ll be fine if you use anti-fog and or get an ex-fog unit ( or as I describe it to my wife - my head mounted aircon unit haha) regardless of which option you go for, but respectable brands which are rated for Airsoft use. I’ve seen cheap “Airsoft” glasses shatter.
  17. Yeah it’s that one; I’ll look into buying some shims - hopefully cheaper than the ones you linked. Thank you very much.
  18. Forgot to say; trying to attach it to a Cyma 097
  19. How do I stop my mk18 mod 1 rail from wobbling side to side?
  20. How much do you think I should list this at? ASG USW works as it should. very little wear, just some slight scratching on the front threads by previous owner. comes with 1x standard CO2 mag RRP ~ £190 5x gas tight extended magazines (1 missing base plate) RRP ~ £40-45 each = ~ £200- 220 total. total price new would be roughly £400
  21. Let’s start a thread that will make purists cry. this one is mine.
  22. Recently bought on impulse a joblot of 5 extended ASG USW / CZ pistol magazines for a steal of a price. My options are: 1 - sell the magazines 2 - buy a USW as a backup for my DMR is the USW worth it? (pictures of customised ones welcomed)
  23. £750 for an upgraded Krytac. 350fps - hardly a “DMR” also, “Lone Survivor DMR” - has this guy even seen the movie?
  24. Ok so this may sound daft but I’ve been airsofting for about 15 years now and been using this for roughly the same amount of time and it works ok be prepared to be amazed and it’s something that most of us having lying around the house, especially a few weeks after Christmas when we have finished up those quite frankly unwanted gifts from relatives….. a lynx body wash bottle. Obviously make sure it’s clean and totally dry first but trust me, they work perfectly. Fit great into an M4 mag pouch, holds probably a thousand or so rounds, remove the cap and the pouring spout is great for filling high caps and speed loaders. And unless you’re getting really low on ammo, it doesn’t rattle anywhere near as much as you’d think it would.
  25. Dreamer alert: £300 for a TM Glock 17 with mags. Plus £20 postage!
