I’d be interested to know if there’s anyone out there that’s not sworn under their breath whilst trying to put a gearbox back together. Especially a v3.
I just spent an hour and a half trying to get a trigger back in whilst wrestling a spring.
Safe to say I’ll invest in one of those clips that holds things in place.

Hey, nah took it out the cage and just wired it up to the batter - the mosfet and it works. I can only imagine there’s something wrong with the signal wires from mosfet. The sector gear keeps getting stuck and it’s shimmed loosely so I’m conceding defeat and sending it to Charles @ AirsoftEngenuity.

Yea did that to a marshal in a safe zone. It was an ABS M249, racked the charging handle and ping! A microscopic spring was doing 350fps over the Narnian border. Safe to say I apologised profusely and was on my hands and knees searching for it.
“it’s alright mate don’t worry about it” *clenched teeth*

I'll have a whirl tonight and may even just shrink wrap it to give it some rigidity. Taking it and the MP5 to an indoor range! Never done this before so looking forward to some perfect condition shooting.
Gonna get some funny looks as I'll be taking my plate carrier, helmet and the obligatory eye pro. Needs to get that sight zero'd in.

Haha, I suppose it's different when you're earning rice for the fam. That trigger needs to go in.
So, originally it was the bit under the motor cage which has now been resolved (twas the pistol grip) then as it comes up the back where the spring guide rests at the rear. I'm now using 18awg silicone wire so need to be real careful with this stuff. Also, cant wait to go full auto on a cold day and get a nice warm palm. I'd show pictures but I saved what I could of nice wire and binned the rest.

Oh yea while I got you fellas having a spot of trouble down at Elroy farm.
Ive managed to ruin some of that nice silver wiring from the motor to the mosfet in an AK V3. It’s basically split the wires causing a short and intermittent motor activity.
Anyone got any images of the best way to wire it in without nicking it.

Welp, against my better(?) judgement I've gone ahead and ordered my first AEG in roughly half a decade. Also my first ever Taiwangun and Gunfire orders, so intrigued to see what that experience is like. That's the base gun, mags and external parts on the way for my 'heretical' AK. Let the hunt for tech to make it sing commence... because it certainly won't be me!
Sidenote, any advice in terms of batteries which fit in battery space of a CM045a would be appreciated. I'm planning on running 11.1's in it once it's had the things installed to make that safe/not at risk of making it die. It's weirdly refreshing to feel like a total noob again.

Hi all,
Unfortunately I’m bowing out of our glorious sphobby due to the global health event swallowing my job.
It’s with a heavy heart that I’ve sold my gear off to stay one step ahead of the financial dip that I will be taking.
If others are experiencing this I am truly sorry that you’ve had to experience it and I completely understand the s***e position we find ourselves in.
For all you others that are fortunate enough to not be effected by the aforementioned event then hats off to you and I hope you all get out on your field as soon as it’s safe to do so.
The UK Airsoft scene is an amazing community and I’ve seen this by people offering to pay a little more on postage of items that I’ve sent out to them - whether it be a 5er or a 10er it really doesn’t matter.
It truly is that thought and action that matters and I’d just like to say thank you to everyone who has ever answered one of my burning s*** questions for me in my hour of need back when I didn’t know my bevel from my nub.
I’ll not be active on the forum as much as it’s too painful to see all the good stuff going on the classfields.
Take care to you all and hopefully I’ll be shooting at you soon.
Kind regards
Ron Lancs
