  3. Should I take my spring out my specna m4 if only playing once a month currently? To avoid it sitting for a period of time at tension. The same gun sat for years and when taking apart the cylinder head, it had an imprint on it from sitting at tension for ages. It's quick change system so no fuss.
  4. Thought I'd give the delta mike face snood a go, so I can get rid of the half mesh I use now as the straps rub my ears.
  5. Bought a M-lok sling mount and M-lok to picatinny rail adaptors from aliexpress for a fraction of the cost than getting in the UK. Got an nurpol m-lok 12inch handguard from a2supplies.co.uk, come within a few days very fast delivery.
  6. This is worrying to see as I have an Specna Arms Edge SA-E03 with this setup of motor, spring and use 7.4v lipo. Only ran so far on one half day session with the SHS HT motor. is there a way of telling what version I have? Bought the gun back in July 2020
  7. Even with a 7.4v lipo? Was getting 17 earlier I think on the chrono. Should of checked what I was getting on standard gears to compare. Could be the motor letting me down why low rps? As its only an 16 tpa apprently which doesn't help so would need to look into a higher one which probably would help you think? I'll have a recheck with full auto when I can to see
  8. Thanks for that, I'll keep an eye on it. Suppose constant full auto probably won't help. Any suggestions for future you'd suggest?
  9. Oh thanks, always a learning curve! Yeah doubt I'll go that high haha! My site I go to is 25 max anyways and when I tested it earlier was giving me 17 on full auto. Would it be worth getting a better motor or no point? An actual high torque one
  10. Good to know it's not high torque, take it will be fine for the gearset still? What's PME? What would cause it? And how to avoid it? only run 7.4v at the moment have no need for more batteries thankfully
  11. I've just put my specna back together after changing to 13:1 SHS gears and shimming them for the first time(hopefully good enough) and regressed new gears and compression parts. Motor is an SHS high torque. Running on fully charged 7.4 lipo After any advice to see if it sounds good enough or any issues please? First time doing this. Thanks https://imgur.com/a/Pk6hcXx

  13. Got the compression sorted now lads, holding air with thumb over nozzle and pushing piston in. I just put all the o seals over the cylinder to stretch them a bit and all new silicone grease on them. Gearbox back together finally yet to try it out to make sure shimming was all good haha. Is it worth plugging a battery to just the gearbox first before putting back into reciever? To test it runs cleanly. Cheers
  14. Thanks mate, yeah I'll give it a try in isolation and see if I can pin point the leak or just me being an idiot! The piston head o ring was a bit slack but will see tomorrow when I test if I need to play with it. Thanks for the idea of stretching it though I'll keep in mind
  15. That would make sense as been left a few years in the loft haha! Should of thought about removing the spring at the time. Least it shouldn't affect it much now I'm running it. Hopefully compression is fine once I recheck thanks
  16. Good to hear piston head marks are fine, I'm assuming the bucking and hop are fine as ran the gun on Sunday 0.9 joules with 0.28. What's the reason for the damaged head? If you have seen it before Plus its reasonably new 60 maple leaf bucking. It could just me not doing it right but I'll recheck tomorrow for sure as working fine Sunday nothings changed since. Thanks

  18. Hello, I'm taking my specna arms edge SA-E03 apart to change the gear set and shim, while it's apart I thought to check the compression but seems to be none existent. When pressing together it just sounds like it's passing the piston or the cylinder to me. And the cylinder head has all sort of marks over it from the piston smashing into it. See below. Would it be best to rebuy it all or just the piston & cylinder head etc? Seems the nozzle does have an o seal in it and two o seals on the cylinder head. Did use it on Sunday and was firing 0.9 j with 0.28 unless it's me Thanks
  19. Thank lads! Good to know it should work, yeah hopefully easy to get the delta ring off when the time comes. I'll go with the 12inch which should put it few inches from the flash hider.
  20. I have an Specna Arms Edge SA-E03 that removed a the front sight, so have a lot of space at the front even with the triangle sight on it. I'm possibly looking to put a longer free float m-lok outer barrel on but unsure if the ones I've found will work. I understand mine has a delta ring I'll have to remove in order to install the new barrel. Ones I'm looking at are the Nuprol BOCCA N-LOCK Handguard either 10inch or 12inch. Unsure which will suit it best. But these on some sites say may need modification for an AEG?   21. Didn't have to remove any screws to get the motor out on my specna, so unsure what you mean. My specna just has a push grip kind of lock on my bottom that holds the motor there, unless some have a screwed bottom plate? See below a screenshot from dissembly video, just a push to lungs to open it up, under there is just a plastic thing where you can do the motor height
  22. Aren't the pistol grip screws the one I posted as a picture in the original post or is there other screws? Gun fires fine and everything so hopefully won't fall to bits haha
  23. Ahh thought so haha! I'll leave it for now and see when I come to look in the gearbox. Never had issues test firing the gun for chrono and going to take it for a run out on Sunday so will see. Thanks for the help

  25. All top screws I can see on the gearbox are there so assuming it's a spare that got picked up by the motor. Never had the bottom half of the gearbox out. One day I will so will keep it in case its bottom set. Cheers guys.
