Hi, Can anyone recommend a pair of plates to fit a plate carrier (AVS type)? More for plate carrier shape and support, rather than extra weight - ideally less than 1.5kg max each. 'Shooter' style, not 'swimmer'. I do have a pair of old Trident Gear ones, but they are a bit heavy so was wondering if there was anything else out there. Cheers.

Fedex - the people who deliver your package and then a week or so later they'll send you a bill for duty and some strange 'admin' fee of £12 or so, despite their customer being the shipper not the recipient. Usually (in my case at least) the duty has been calculated massively wrong. By the time you get this bill you've opened the package and it's too late to return the item to source cheaper from elsewhere. In the very rare case that you can contact them, they refuse to accept their duty calculations are wrong. They know they're wrong, but they've already paid HMRC the wrong amount on your behalf, so want the customer to pay for their poor sums! Forget about the admin fee, as you usually end up doing most of the work yourself. Besides, as the recipient, you have no legal contract with them (otherwise we could all go around charging random people for money!) They'll chase the 'admin' fee for a bit, increase it with each demand and threaten you with some made up debt recovery firm operating out of the same office, but they always, always give up. Guess they know they daren't go to court in case it all comes to light!

I bought a new A&K receiver for my M249 from Evike (USA) a month ago, and according to my tracking app it has been sitting in a UPS warehouse in Castle Donnington for the past two weeks. It was being 'scanned' daily, but not moving. I emailed UPS to ask what was going on and they told me some paperwork was missing. I emailed Evike, and they quickly sent me copies of all paperwork, which i forwarded to UPS. UPS have now sent me a Firearms Declaration to complete, in which I have declared that the package contains RIF parts only. Now they have said that due to this declaration I need to submit my UKARA, site and intended fps details. Is this normal, or is UPS just being difficult? My UKARA has expired due to Covid and I'm trying to complete my M249 as a lockdown project so I can 'get back out there'.

Well I've managed to bend my Classic Army M249 receiver beyond reasonable repair. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Cheers.

Can anyone recommend a decent way of carrying 9mm primers, without being too fiddly or having them rattling about? Seen a couple of examples, one rotary type, and one like a 'Pez' dispenser, but no proper reviews online as to their quality or longevity under use. Anyone have any experience or know of alternatives, or should I just stick to carrying a few in my pocket (and losing them!)? Cheers.

Hi, Looking to get one of those big ol' gun bags to store/transport an M249, with all it's batteries, mags, etc. Can anyone recommend a decent one which won't struggle with the weight or fall to pieces after a short time? Cheers for any pointers....

I'm struggling to contact them too. I received wrong order yesterday, so I've tried to contact them by email, message them on their site and via Facebook, interspersed with multiple phone calls - nothing yet... Not a complaint, but it is frustrating!

My attitude to helmets has changed completely since my last game. While laying in undergrowth with my team waiting to spring the most epic ambush of all time (my opinion!), I completely overlooked the fact that I was beneath a thick overhanging tree branch. The ambush kicked off in spectacular fashion with smoke and flashbangs going off in all directions. However, I missed most of it because I'd leapt up from cover and smacked the top of my swede on the overhanging branch. The lump has now gone, but it's still sore! I think I need a helmet to protect me from my own stupidity!

I've just got a Blackhawk Serpa for mine. Because the WE Glock 17 is slightly wider than the real thing, they recommend the holster for the Glock 21. This the one I have and it fits like a dream - rock solid grip and zero rattling.
