  1. Hmm, surely we can find someone who can manufacture something in perspex and get hold of a high speed camera to could do this, very interested in that myself!
  2. This was the guy on Mythbusters: https://youtu.be/Hgdq1FBYTUE
  3. Gotta agree with you Prof, Jerry's revolver reloads are something else!
  4. Proffrink, I've just been watching one of Jerry's videos after taking a look at some more of Travis Tomasie - absolute pros, their gun craft is something to aspire to. I've got a friend it WA who competition shoots (3 times state champion I believe), as WA is an "open carry" state he's armed pretty much any time he walks out the door. Very surreal experience when you're at a 4th of July party and he sits on the floor only to lean up again to get his Glock out of its holster as it's digging into his hip!
  5. For the actual series yes it was real steel, as was the one for the full test that the Mythbusters guys did but for setting up and workshop testing the rig to mount in the car they used an airsoft version.
  6. Hi guys, Been watching Mythbusters and had to share a couple of things: 1 - really cool to see them using an airsoft support gun (sorry I'm new to this so don't know exactly what kind but it was big!) to set up a test rig for that final scene in Breaking Bad; 2 - they just re-tested the movie "myth" about firing a pistol (1911), emptying the mag and reloading - they originally had it as busted but this time brought in a competitive pistol champ - holy crap!!! This guy emptied 3 x 20 round mags in just under 17 seconds and blew a substantial hole in the target!!! If you haven't seen the latest episode check it out for an amazing example of how to handle a pistol. Very interesting to watch it back and notice that he pauses for about half a second mid mag to re-sight. Phil
  7. Cheers Prof, I'd found the Eagle6 link but not the Fire Support one
  8. Sounds like the Prommy it is then! Now to go find one Thanks guys!!
  9. Hey, not the forum's fault I have no patience! The Lonex was basically a stop gap until I could identify and buy something better. My logic being that i'm better off with something new and reasonable than old and knackered.
  10. I hadn't had a reply to this thread yet and it was a reasonable price on fleabay lol!!
  11. Thanks for that. Not sure what the current rubber and bucking are like so just ordered a Lonex 50 degree to start with, I'll see how well that works and go from there. Phil
  12. Hi all, New here and new to airsoft but getting into it in a big way! Not gone silly (yet!) but bought an SR36 from a trustworthy friend who's been an airsofter for some time. The gun seems pretty good, very much a hose on full auto with hi-cap mags (three linked together so no shortage of ammo). The main recommendation I keep hearing for them is to replace the hop rubber so I'm here looking for ideas, after scouring the forum already of course! So, all you wonderful experts (and I use that term extremely loosely ) - what do you recommend?? Type/brand/whatever?? TIA, Phil
