  1. Cheers for all the advice guys, will try out as many as i can and give a verdict eventually. When i was buying my bolle goggles, i only went with anything that had the correct EU balistic saftey standards, I rather like my eyesight
  2. It's just missing a TNK to plug in Looking at ordering at the end of the month. Well I did think about popping the reg out the cap hole, but thought it may get caught on the bushes and the opposite effect of being able "technically" to get to the reg easier.
  3. Also just showing the bag with reg and tank in... snug fit
  4. Been having some fun with the mag tap..
  5. Yeah most likely. I looked at a condor bag, trouble is I'm all black so getting good quality backpacks on black is tricky. Might as well be picky when we out this much into it all 👍🏻
  6. Yeah I came across a very similar bag a while back. Not sure what the make was.Haha fair enough, I am sticking with the scuba tank as yes it is heavy but will just leave it in the car and fill up there if need be.
  7. Not got anything in the house that can measure the weight for some reason. I did however find the weight on the tinterweb, 1.9 KG Considering its size, its really not that bad and honestly doesnt feel like nearly 2kg. I will aquire a measuring device and confirm this. EDIT Scrap the last bit, i reverted to dumb ass mode and checked the packaging and not the bottle! All the specs are on the bottle lol. Its 1.47Kg. George
  8. Haha yes, its oly when i held it up and was like jesus thats big. Incredibly light though, real good finish. perfect sheen. It better be for £180 a pop. To be honest i will see how the bag gets on, it fits fine and the line comes out the bag with no bends. I may get a bigger backpack type bag in the future and cram it with padding to fill the space. Will be interesting to see for us HPA people, beesting has gained rights to sell AmpedAirsoft equipment. My line was a Amped widebore. More things to make me spend money i think . Will drop a pic of the bag with the bottle and reg in tmoz. George
  9. Update. Toys have arrived !! Little late but here Just a few pics of the kit. Sorry for the uber large pics! That Guerrilla tank is truly huge, way bigger than i anticipated.! By total luck, the tank with reg fits into my hydro pack perfectly, the line out feeding right out the strap hole ! Going to Tap a M4 mag tomorrow for a little play, as well as put some pressure in that bad boi. Cheers
  10. Hey all I have been dipping in and out of different threads looking for help with various issues. Thankyou all that have been involved so far, proffrink has been a god ! Thanks dude. But issues aside, i though i would open a dedicated thread purely for my new build which not many people seem to have covered. Building a daytona HPA setup! I plan to go though the stages from start to finish, so anyone who plans on doing it can turn and cry at the expense of the setup or jizz and go for it. Currently i am in the plan and order stage, if anyone has any questions or wants a readup on kit etc, take a look at my other thread below. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27984-hpa-setup-questions/ Ok so what do i have and plan to have. Already own. We hk416D Gbb Redline firebase regulator guerrilla 100ci 4500psi tank redline 42" widebore w/single QD Yoke fill station 232 bar 12 litre scuba tank Tech-T Gun sav "lube" CQB russian WE adapter "For fun until TNK comes" 2.5L hydration backpack "Hopefully big enough" Order list TNK Daytona kit TNK spares IGL 300 bar 12 litre scuba AEG flash mags The Daytona kit and spares is already queued up with Tony over at TNKGUNS ready for order once monies let me. IGL and mags will just come as and when suites, and finally the plan is to sell the 232 bar and buy a 300 to take full advantage of that momma of a 100/4500 tank! I plan to post every stage from kit arrival and pics, to building and modifications made "if needed". So for now, sit tight and wait for the toys to flow in . Cheers George
  11. Haha yes, I am toying with selling my mk17 and getting the gbb variant and Daytona that as well. I'm starting to dislike AEG's as much I like building the gearboxes. They are too whiney, fragile and common. I do love my scar though. Deffo, love it!
  12. Haha yeah no worries, because of my need I went mental on he tank size just so I never have a issue. I also encountered the cool down and staggering fps fluctuations the weekend using my 416 the first and most likely only time before its gutted. Good luck dude !
  13. This is the mystery, I had a go at asking people how long any tank would last and nobody can really answer it.I would hazard a guess a 48/3500 would easily last you a day if your tapping any gbb mags as you just won't go through enough quick enough. Filling depends on how you go about it, get a scuba tank and use a refill station like the below. http://www.beestingairsoft.com/product/seal-king-hpa-scuba-fill-station-4500psi/ If you contact beesting via email, they will most likely offer a discount if you get the kit all together. They offered the line and fill station free with my reg and tank. If you use the fill station then you only then need to get a scuba tank, have it hydrostatic tested if it's not already in test. Then finally fill that baby up in the closest diving shop for next to nothing. From what I have heard it's no more than a few quid. If no scuba tank, then just take the small bottle to the dive shop. Prof will be able to answer this thoroughly, I also owe this guy a few beers getting me here now. New toys are coming tomorrow! Yippee
  14. Is that the european QD's or redline US QD's ? QD's are my favorite subject at the moment =D
  15. Cheers, i have mailed beesting to see if they could drop one in my order as they were waiting for a delivery for the redline beofore they send it, which could be today or tuesday. Thanks
  16. Haha, i know what you mean. Nothing better than sneaking around with half of mexico following you! I converted lonex high m4 high caps to fit my we mk17 and they do rattle but not too much. Cool yes, i was considering the CQB russian valve as its a inplace replacement, just to play.
  17. I was really thinking for a second about how my cats crap would help. untill i ebayed Cat Crap! ok, taking a look. Paste or spray ? Everything i have seen up to now is a very split market of people who say anti fog products work or not. I do howerver understand that applying anything would be recomended after or before every use.
  18. Hey all I think allot of people will relate and also have some good advise aswell. While i have only been into the airsoft scene since the start of the year, i have had quite a consistent issue. GOGGLES FOGGING UP! In many cases, you can simply do nothing ! Unable to see the enemy, unable to help and unable to sneak a quick wipe on the lense "unless you dont value your eyes". As well as the fact that most airsoft sites like my local "stormforce" is too big to walk back to safe zone everytime you fog up. I am currenly using some bolle cobra goggle's which are awsome for comfort, periferal vision and size. But not so much for a set of lenses that look like a car, at 12pm down a quiet lane. The issue stems from my lower face mesh cover, which causes the condensation to build up between it and my eyes. I do know that ventilated goggles will fix 90% of this issue, but would like to see peoples suggestions as i also would like to not loose teeth ! George
  19. Yep, hence why i impulse bought the kit. I can always change the adapters if need be if they arent 100% right on the reg. That was all from beesting.com The guys were nice enough and in the end saved me quite a fair chunk, enough to buy 4 high cap flash mags Was toying with the idea of tapping into a spare mag untill i order in the DG. Would anyone recomend it and if so, what psi those mags run ok at ?
  20. Kit part one ordered. Got a amazing bargain. Guerrilla 100ci 4500psi Redline firebase regulator widebore 42in single QD line Tank fill station Tech-T Gun sav Postage For a grand total of .. £318 Think i have done some good bartering here Part 2 Daytona & spares, some time soon I will start a new thread once all kit is in, sharing my fun as i go from GBB to HPA GBB . George
  21. Dam, worth a try to bring up my carpet fetish . I agree from what i have seen, yeah they definately just supply whats shipped over. Im not afraid of touching the spanners to get the job done tidy, Either way i will ask tony to ship the IGL. Besides getting the reg, tank and kit all the small things i can afford to mess with and replace pipes and connectors at a later date. Much eaiser and cheaper. I really wanted to find a tidy way of having the male connector from the IGL/micro line to be retro fitted into the pistol grip base so it doesnt shake or move. I have seen these about but im planning on getting a stark one pistol grip so would need to make it myself. Finalising the order with beesting and should have the kit here next week some time. I will then cry when i look at my ballance before i order the TNK some time after that. Still gotta get hydro testing and 4 flash mags even after i got the tnk, or before depending on how impatient i get watching £800+ worth of gun looking at me with no mags or gas.
  22. Firstly, how in the name of god do you keep that carpet so clean? I only need to breath on my white carpet and it looks like the coal miners strike walked in! Ok i can see what you mean regarding the internal bore. Beesting have confirmed that the wide bore redline will have a single QD and is attached to the regulator already, the chance's its a US fitting being a redline is pretty likely. Im guessing that the firebase reg output has a 1/8" NPT, so would the line to fit. From the looks of the wide bore line you can change the fitting due to it being threaded. So i can always order the IGL for EU standard and repalce the supplied nozzle on the line accordingly? Cheers George
  23. Holy moly, quite some reply . Luckily there are a few things here i have prepped for . I do understand 232 is not the best but while i got a 7 litre for £20 with the gun, with its stand, netting and carry handle. The guy selling knew nothing about it as his dad had given it to him. Even if the bottle fails a hydro test. Im not really loosing. I plan to get a 300 bar 7/12 litre at christmas. Yes as for the postage, i had already been quoted from tony for a spare bucking and two needle type getsome. Ok so next the reg and line.. I have been chatting to the guys at beestingairsoft, they are offering the redline big bore line with their redline reg for a good price. big bore line http://www.beestingairsoft.com/product/big-bore-braided-hose/ regulator http://www.beestingairsoft.com/product/redline-firebase-air-system/ They are still to reply back to my last enquiry, but from what i can see on the big bore, one end is threaded so straight onto the reg.. "please correct me if thats not the case" and the other also threaded but ready for a npt. They should be able to remove the QD on the regulator and have a qd on the end of the line quite easily. Would you mind quickly going over the US/UK quick detach standards ? Sounds and looks like a landmine field. Will certainly get tony to deal with the IGL while ordering the mothership. I dont want micro lines anywhere in sight. Also what do you mean about the "Delrin ball" and nylon screw for the hop ? Cheers George
  24. Issue resolved !! :D :D Thanks guys for your help. Lowe and behold the issue in the end was the piston head! After rulling everything else out, my only conclusion was to replace the piston head. Though the origional worked and was sealing like a boss, it was a very tight fit. So in goes pom asg piston head, build back up. Carefully check piston on rails .. al good. Pop the xcortech, shot 1 355 shot 2 353.... . Many happy shots later and its consistently back up to the 350fps mark i was so used to. Also due to the piston fitting happily, the rps has also increased . All back together and ready to go for stormforce on sunday !! Cheers guys. George
  25. Cheers dude Update 2 HK416 is sitting happily at home and will have its first and most likely only outing this sunday before its broken down for TNK day. 7 litre 232 bar tank at home "Still needs hydrotesting" Plan to go to 300bar at a later date. EDIT Actually a 12 litre cylinder not a 7L 2.5 litre hydration pack also home "Should fit the momma tank and reg" Queued Tony@TNK ready for order of the kit and spares. Finalising order with uk seller for 100ci 4500psi guerrilla tank, fill station, wide bore line and firestorm reg. As i am planning to split the orders into two parts to lessen the blow acorss a few months. I will go with the single QD plan, my only issue is that i want to order the reg from the UK to help spread the costs, as you said most if not all uk dealers do not sell the redline with a single QD. Is there much work involded in removing the QD NPT from the reg and hose and installing the threaded NPT ? I cant imagine there is too much, either way. could anyone shine any light on what i would need ? Also any ideas what input line comes with the DG ? If necisarry and beneficial i can certainly get the IGL. Cheers George
