So the new CoD is out.. I don't have it but I assume many will have got it. What do you think? From what I've heard so far, most would say MW2 is still better, I'm sure I'd probably agree with that as this one is by Treyarch rather than IW.

Let's keep this on topic please and in lower case thank you chalk

We are getting a lot of repeat threads with people asking for advice and often it has been asked before. We do have it in our rules to use the search function but I understand some people might have different question etc so please feel free to make a thread if you still have unanswered questions. Please have a quick look at this topic to see if it covers what you're after: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/?showtopic=12854 Thanks.

I know quite a few people might struggle to post pictures on the forums so here is 2 ways to do it. Method 1: Head over to http://imgur.com/'>http://imgur.com/ (you do not have to make an account, don't worry). Click the 'Computer' button (circled): Select the images you want to upload and press 'Open' (circled): A box will summarise what you want to upload and give you the choice to add more images if you need to. Once ready press 'Start Upload' (circled): The image(s) you select will get uploaded, when they are finished you will see this screen. Copy the 'Direct Link (email & IM)' text: Come back to your post on the forums and click the Image button (circled): Paste in the direct link you just copied and press 'OK' (circled): Done, the image will appear in your post in full size: Method 2: Make sure you have pressed 'Use Full Editor' if making a post, if making a topic you don't need to worry about this. Click 'Choose Files' (circled): Select the images you want to upload and press 'Open' (circled): Once the upload is complete, you can submit your post. The image(s) will show up as a thumbnail at the bottom of your post which people can enlarge by clicking on: If you're still having issues then PM me, but please have given both the above methods a shot because they are very easy. Thank you.

It is usually best to 'trickle' charge on the first charge and then proceed with fast charging. Never charge over 1C, the maximum would be 1.6A for a 1600mah battery, or 3A on a 3000mah battery. You wouldn't want to charge a 2200mah at 5A for example. If your charger doesn't have a cut-off, for easy time keeping you can round to the nearest hour, it won't blow up your battery Note: If you're about to do this with a LiPo, you do not have a good charger. Get a decent LiPo charger that will cut-off. Expect to spend at least £40. Feel free to use our 'Battery Charge Calculator' on our App: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/app/ BTW, you don't need to worry about most of this if you have a smart charger Just make sure you don't go over 1C and it will stop when it's done

The Guns Airsoft guns are full size 1:1 scale replicas of real world firearms. They shoot small plastic balls, 6mm in diameter with approximately 1 Joule of energy. This energy level is very low when compared to most other shooting genres and is a safe energy for use with both paper and human targets. These replicas are commonly made entirely from plastic with only a few metal parts inside to increase the reliability and durability of moving parts. Construction quality varies wildly from model to model, as does the use of materials. Airsoft guns can be powered by electricity (from a battery pack inside the gun), by spring (the user manually compresses the spring before each shot) or using an expanding gas (refrigerant gas is commonly used from a reservoir either inside or outside the gun). The only thing airsoft replicas have in common with real firearms is their external size and shape. Inside, these models have totally different workings to the internal mechanism of a firearm, and the materials used for construction could not possibly withstand the explosive forces of a bullet that real weapons are designed to take. The Game Similar in essence to paintball, two or more teams are pitched against each other in different scenarios. Originally designed to simulate a war zone with more realism than can be achieved with paintball, these games are played on privately owned and insured sites dotted around the country. Normal Airsoft replicas are used and strict safety limits are imposed in order to make sure that everyone has fun and no one gets injured. A days play will usually cost you about £15 to £25, or possibly more if you choose to hire a weapon. This normally includes all games during the day and hire of eye & face protection. Some sites will even provide lunch. Airsoft Skirmishing is generally far cheaper than paintball. Airsoft games can have many scenarios and there are plenty of favourites. "Capture the flag", "hostage rescue" and "last man standing" are popular paintball games that have been adapted for airsoft. To play airsoft, you must be wearing the correct protective clothing. As with many other sports you're only safe if you are properly dressed. After all, you wouldn't expect to see Lewis Hamilton getting in to his racing car wearing his favourite t-shirt and no helmet! An Airsoft BB hit on bare skin will leave a small mark on the surface of the skin that will look and feel like a bee-sting. The more powerful the airsoft gun, the more it will hurt if you get hit, but with site energy limits in the UK being largely 1 Joule, there is no possibility of a BB causing a penetrative injury. With this in mind, airsofters wear eye & face protection, sturdy boots and tough clothing. For extra protection gloves and a scarf can be worn to give cover for your hands, neck and ears. For more information and guides please go to the guides forum here: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/?showforum=7

I recommend checking out: http://www.mechbox.com They have disassembly and reassembly videos for most guns. Don't worry if its not the make of your gun because the guide will be very similar. Now you can safely disassemble your guns and reassemble your guns to do some maintenance!

Welcome to Airsoft Forums UK (also known as AF-UK or AFUK)! AF-UK was created in 2008 by @Deva and a small group of friends but is now run by @proffrink. We're independent: We don't - and never will - accept sponsorships from retailers. We encourage openness and honesty (or two core values) and take these two things very seriously. When possible, make yourself familiar with our Rules. There's a lot to digest, but most of it is common sense. You might also want to say hello in the New Players & Arrivals subforum to find airsofters who play at the same sites you do or to seek initial advice if you're completely new to airsoft. Need help with clarifying rules or don't know where to go next? @Jedi_Master runs our moderation team. We hope you enjoy your stay. This post was last updated 07/07/18 - @proffrink

Anyone not cohering with these rules will face a suspension, ban or deletion of their account, this includes all posts and topics. The Guidelines • Search There is a search feature on this forum that will help you to find information that may have already been posted up. Often people experience very similar problems so the chances are that your question has already been answered is highly likely. Regulars to the forums will usually be aware if your question has already been answered several times before, so some may become annoyed you didn't use the search feature. There is a three character minimum length for searching, i.e. MP5, hpa, fps. Try using different search terms to get more results. • Giving advice Give solid advice only if you are sure what you are talking about. Don't mislead people as at best you are risking their money, and at worst, you are risking their safety. It's much better to say your only guessing and let others add to your answer than to lead the person into doing something wrong, and coming back and pointing the finger at you. • Post in the appropriate sub-forums If you want to chat about the latest Airsoft releases, do it in "Latest News". If you are new to the forums and want to ask a question, it might be best in the "Advice & Technical Help" forum. If you want to sell something, the "Classifieds" forums are the place to announce it. Basically, have a look at all the categories and post where you think your topic will be best suited. • Use descriptive titles for new topics Posting a topic with the title "Look here!", or "Please help", will not attract the attention of the users. If you use titles like "JG G36C gearbox problem", or "New gun from ICS!", more people will view your post and will know what they are about look at. Do not post titles in ALL CAPS, do not post misleading titles ("clickbait"). • Use good English and check your spelling! "1337-Speak" should also not be used on these boards. Nor should "text speak", use your word processing software to check for basic spelling and grammar errors, we aren't looking for the best English, but it is a lot easier to read a checked post, than another like, "hi, wel i av a prob wiv me gun u c nd i dnt no wot 2 do". Adding punctuation, full stops and commas make it easier to read. • Use Personal Mail (PM) Instead of posting in a Sales / Swaps topic which will cause it to 'bump' that topic just use your PM to communicate asking and answering questions. Sellers should be aware that any post, for whatever reason (especially answering questions or making a comment), that are before the 7 days is considered a bump. If you cannot receive PM then try deleting some old ones to free up space. • Caps lock Do not post in all Caps lock as it looks like you are shouting at somebody and is also very annoying to read. Topic and advert titles are to be in normal sentence case, not in all CAPITALS. • Don't post duplicate topics Multiple topics started about the same thing may be deleted, merged or moved at the moderators' or my discretion. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules • Use "Smileys" effectively "Smileys" can be used in your forum posts. If you are joking about something, use them to help indicate that your statement was made humorously. They can be used to indicate your mood and show that something was not meant to be taken seriously. If you don't use them, people will assume you are being serious. Arguments have broken out before because of a misunderstood joke. • No Arguing Don't argue, if you feel offended by the comments of another user or believe a post is offensive, report it to the moderators, and they or I will be deal with it. Starting a fight may result in sanctions for all those involved. Our first decision is our final one! • Be nice to other forum users Treat others as you would like to be treated to yourself. There is absolutely no need to be abusive on these forums. If you are then your posts / topics will be edited or deleted, you may be given a warning, you may get your account suspended, and persistent offenders will be banned. • Post Spam Don't post just to raise your post count, there is no bonus in it, and moderators will become frustrated with the spam. Continued post spamming will result in a suitable sanction. • Be Constructive If you don't have something constructive to add to a thread then don't post at all. This applies especially in the "Classifieds" section, if you have something to say, PM it to the seller. Comments like "good luck with the sale" or "nice gun" are also not appreciated. Repeatedly ignoring these guidelines when you post, may lead to your posts or account being moderated/edited. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules Forum Rules The following are rules that must be adhered to. Failure to follow these rules will attract the attention of the forum moderators. All moderators are friendly people and follow the rules laid out to them, they are there to enforce the forums rules, if you have a problem with a particular moderator please PM me "proffrink" personally. • Thread bashing/trolling There will be some posts or threads in the forum that you may not like. If you dislike somebody's thread or some of the people participating in the discussion simply don't bother reading or replying to it. Posting/trolling in it with the sole purpose of having it closed (bashing) will not be tolerated. • Off topic Try to stay close to the original topic of a certain thread as much as you can. If you wish to talk about something else make a new topic, do not use an existing one. Remember to use the search function as there may already be a topic for what you wish to talk about. • Spam Adding posts that contribute nothing to the conversation (spam) will be deleted or merged with a previous post. Do not "bump" your threads by posting irrelevant information or just "bump". It is spam and will be deleted. Continuous spamming will result in warning points being added to your account, a suspension, or a ban from the forums. • Advertising No one is to use their account to place advertisements in their signature, avatar or any posts. Anyone caught will have their account, including all posts and topics deleted. They may also be banned by IP depending on the seriousness of the offence. Retailers / shops are not to place any adverts in the Classifieds. A shop can create one topic in the Places to Buy section, using the shop name as a title, with a link to your website. • Duplicate Accounts Each user is only allowed one account. Duplicate accounts take up valuable system resources and annoy other forum users. It is very easy to spot duplicate accounts created or used by the same person, and any duplicate accounts found will be removed. Breaking the following rules will result in an immediate IP ban, deletion of account and removal of all posts and topics. • Absolutely NO References glorifying or inciting drug-misuse References glorifying or inciting criminal behaviour or violence Images or videos of graphic violence Images or videos of an adult or graphically sexual nature Images or videos that show drug misuse • Racial, Sexual and Religious Equality This site makes no discrimination between people of different race, gender or religion. Airsoft is a sport for all, and these forums reflect that. We welcome everyone except those who demonstrate intolerance toward others. • Illegal/Banned Subjects You cannot discuss anything that will help someone break the law in his or her locale. This means talking about: How to evade paying tax on imported goods How to make a semi-automatic replica shoot fully-automatic in a country that does not allow this feature How to make your own or modify pyrotechnics How to get restricted items past customs How to get restricted items if you are under-age Any other illegal activities If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read the and follow the rules The link is very accessible from within the Classifieds forum if you wish to read the rules at a later date. Thank you for reading!
