~£40 on Ali right now, unless I'm missing something in which case please do correct me.

I wouldn't know, I've never bought from aliexpress, this came from a UK ebay retailer for considerably more.

While I expect to get back less than I paid, after all it us technically secondhand, I'm not prepared to get in to a pricing war with a far east website.

But every day is a school day, so I googled ali & searched for it, this was the first thing that came up:

now I don't know if it's made by the same manufacturer as mine, nor do I know if the one you shared is the same maker ?, so I can't comment on its quality ?.

But I left the "offers" button on, no one is forced to buy anything.

They'll all be the same ones, even before the taps of the russian market was turned off a few years ago, Russian sites like GreyShop (I think it was them) were selling these same chinese reproductions. For the record, they're completely fine for airsoft if anybody is wondering.

 

As for being 'not prepared to get into a pricing war with a far eastern website', I'm afraid you're gonna have to be, because that's the price they can be bought for and received in the UK 🤷‍♂️ The one in the screenshot I shared is the exact same as the one in yours, but as per usual with Ali, the same item can be brought from multiple sellers all at different prices. Plus the usual DFS-style sale on every product. Even if you've not used Ali yourself, I'm certain that you know people who use it for buying airsoft gear who can confirm that it is a legitimate marketplace. 

 

If you really did pay considerably more than your price listed, then unfortunately it seems that somebody has ripped you off. It is common on eBay with replica russian gear. But as I have shown, these can be brought brand new for just over half of your listed price, and it wouldn't be fair for the next person to come along and overpay as well.

Like I said, never used ali but I've heard it mentioned on here many times, mainly for sights.

I've also never owned a single piece of Russian kit, repro or otherwise, so can't compare the quality, but having served in a time when our LCE was positively prehistoric, I'm pretty sure that anything that comes out in reasonable quality nylon is more than up to the job for airsofting.

As for my price, it's open to offers, I'm the only one that's losing money on it, plus paypal fees & the cost of a signed for delivery. 

My fault for not looking around more.
