Nadrian
Wondering if there are any decent plate carriers around that are under 45 quid? (second hand or not) and if so how much can they hold? looking for around 6-7 m4 mags, glock, pistol grenade launcher, bb's and a grenade or two obviously the price i asked is without mags, (although i wouldn't complain if it came with some ) Also how does a tan carrier or coyote brown look with standard DPM? Cheers.
bigshep
http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/sdtmb4nx.html £35 About what you can get as a platform, then stick the pouches on top of that, but they will cost dependant upon what you want. found this on ebay, which comes with pouches, and you can add more £45 or so http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FSBE-style-MOLLE...=item8264e631c2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TACTICAL-ARMY-MO...=item415d6c76b5 doesn't look too bad for £75 http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/Begadi-TYR-...wn_ARWJF.aspx?0 might be a interesting option, never heard of the comapny though, but looks quite nice for £70 Either way have a scoot att he retailers and search ebay and see what you think, but for £50 you will be looking at the platform only, unless you get lucky or are happy with a clone (nowt wrong with clone, tits not like we are going to war with them, unless there is a zombie outbreak in the next 12 months) hope it helps

Mister CK
The one from flecktarn above is a good piece of kit, I have one, and have used it loads over the last 12months, and it has survived the test of time, I even bought a second one in black. Black
Yarp, so it would seem. Odered one of teh Swiss Arms CIRAS vests yesterday afternoon from et-sales in the link above (I ordered direct from their shop though, Dowlings Targets). It arrived today less than 24 hrs after ordering, so very pleased with the service. The vest is very well built for the money, this isn't cheap thin nylon and is very sturdy feeling. Stiching is very good with minimal flaws compared to many cheap bits of tac gear i've seen. Time will tell though of course here. Rifle mag pouches are a little tight but will loosen up with use usually. Can just fit G3 and G36 mags in there, while M4 mags go in nicely. Pistol pouches can just fit my chunky WA Infinity mags too, so no problems with most mags I should imagine. The straps and basic fitting of the vest is simple enough, though the sheer amount of straps/velcro is utterly bewildering at first. I suspect it will take a while to get my head round the real ins and outs of it. Overall it's bloody brilliant value for money, especially if ordered from the guys above. I think it was around 40% cheaper than anywhere else i've seen it (£55 compared to £85). You would be hard pressed to find even the platform for this money, let alone all the pouches that come with it. Unless this breaks on me, I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a flexible and well built vest for very little pennies.
