Ryfoolz Posted Monday at 14:22 Share Posted Monday at 14:22 Heya, so on an impulse buy I picked up a barely used ssg10 firing 2.3j on .32s which was awful outdoors with some wind. Does anyone have any recommendations of what spring to buy so I can hop something more outdoor friendly such as .45/.48?
Hudson Posted Monday at 16:13 Share Posted Monday at 16:13 If It's already doing 2.3J, then the spring isn't the problem. You're already at the limit; and using heavier ammo may even put you over. You'll want to look at the hop & barrel rather than touching the spring. When you say 'awful', how exactly do you mean? What was it doing (or not doing). Has it been touched internally? Wouldn't changing to a Less powerful spring and using heavier ammo just make it a lot more consistent in terms of trajectory and flight? Doesn't look like it's been touched internally I just want it to throw out heavier weighted bbs to stabilise flight without the joule creep that I will get with this power I currently have! Hudson Posted yesterday at 04:56 Share Posted yesterday at 04:56 Ahh, I get you now. Sorry, it's just that usually it'll be people asking to 'improve' their power by sticking a stronger spring in without doing anything else to it. I'd try it on 0.43 or 45s and see what it comes out at, and then go from there. Without knowing what's in it to start with, I can only guess at using something like an M140 or M130 to start with. I'd also check the barrel is clean and bucking is in good condition before doing anything else.

So I stupidly forgot to record what it was chronoing at with my .46s in there but I think it was up to i want to say 2.7 2.8 but that would be a guess. Barrel is clean bucking is in good condition, I guess I'll just have to order a few different springs and see what it comes out like, start with the 130 and go from there!
