kavoye Posted Friday at 16:05 Share Posted Friday at 16:05 Hello. I have a pretty old m4 replica that I really like the look of, so I would like to upgrade it instead of buying a new one. Right now it sounds reallllly bad, each shot you can hear how shimming is out of the way, it almost cries every shot. I dont want to only shim it, I would also like to make it much more responsive (trigger). I dont really care much about RPS if that means anything. So for that, which motor (Europe) up to about 40 - maybe 50 EUR would you recommend for that? Also, what about the other parts like the cylinder, heads, spring, etc? What brand, or even maybe what exact part would you recommend for those. For the mosfet, I am thinking to go with perun. Thanks
Aux Posted Friday at 20:08 Share Posted Friday at 20:08 Hello I've recently carried out an upgrade on my stock Specna Arms SA E08, upgraded to 13:1 shs gears, XT high torque motor 22TPA, new piston heads, costed around 65£, motor was only 30£. It was absolutely worth it, trigger response was amazing even without precocking. With precocking, the shots are almost instant. Though i haven't tried the gun in a full game day yet but everything has been working well so far. Mosfet, im using Perun ab++. I'd highly recommend buying parts from ak2m4, the XT brand parts are super cheap but also of good quality and also cheap next day delivery. The customer service is amazing, the guy will give you as much help as you need and answer everything. kavoye

Everything sounds good, one thing I forgot to mention is I am from EU, so UK shops are not the best option for me. And I cant find XT anywhere else Would anyone have any experiences with other brands that I can get here? For example gunfire, taiwangun, powair6, etc? Thanks agin. Galvatron Posted Friday at 23:05 Share Posted Friday at 23:05 (edited) Would we be right in guessing that when you say you have a "pretty old M4", it's a somewhat vanilla style of M4? A vanilla M4 gives you a lot more motor options with a regular M4/AR-15 style grip. If you have something a bit left field like a pistol grip for example, you may have fewer options because you may have a few degrees difference where the motor engages with the bevel gear so proprietary parts may be at play and possibly a hindrance. Perhaps you should disclose which M4 you have in case there are those more learned than us who may know if there are pitfalls to watch out for? I had bought a couple of items in the past from Phenix Airsoft and Airsoft Store if you prefer to buy from the EU. Thanks for replying, I was already thinking about the SHS stuff, thanks for confirming that Heard that for the price its really good. Can I just ask why would you recommend gate vs perun, I dont really know much about mosfets. The motor is over my budget for this setup, and even where I can buy it it is out of stock. Looking for something up to max 50 EUR or so Already have that bucking and nub The barrel is madbull and not really looking to replace it atm. Thanks. 14 hours ago, Galvatron said: Would we be right in guessing that when you say you have a "pretty old M4", it's a somewhat vanilla style of M4? I really like the look of it, thats why I wanna go this route instead of buying something new. I know I can get very good ones, full metal, zero wobble and what not, but I like this one better. I think its a GFC brand, but who knows whats even original being this old of a replica It mostly looks like this: https://airsoftmania.eu/products/f6604p-carbine-replica?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=b5e86b34c&pr_rec_pid=6878256496819&pr_ref_pid=6878256365747&pr_seq=uniform But no handling handle.
