This makes it not ideal for mounting on a belt, drop leg holsters are a no go because you'll be burying the front end into the ground every time you take a knee unless you are very tall. So you're left with chest/armpit holsters and there aren't many options available that don't involve modification. Regarding the pistol, TM is the way to go, all you need to add is a tdc cover, tensioner and hop rubber of choice, that's it. Stock gun can somehow lift up to 0.28s but can't go heavier, which is where the pistol truly shines as a pocket sniper rifle. A TDC will get 0.48s going for very silly ranges and being a NBB, once you get past the horrible trigger, means you'll be consistently hitting people at ranges above what a 1.13J AEG can reach. Magazine wise, I found TM mags to be the overall best, but I've been told the new gen 3 Nov mags are also very good, so next time I'm shopping for gbb parts I may get a few of those and transfer the TM internals (routers, feed lips, follower and springs) into them. I mount my mk23 on a mid-ride platform and being 6'5" this allows it to not dig into the dirt. However if I was much shorter, it would dig into the mud whenever I take a knee. I don't run anything heavier than .32s in mine though because when using it alongside a bolt action or DMR it's mostly used for MED shooting, so 30m or less, and getting whacked by a .48 up close really sucks and I am a firm believer that we should consider the experiences of other players in our choices. It's nice being able to hit out to 45 - 50m accurately for a bit of flexibility (which .32s will do), but if I'm shooting at 50m or more... well, that's what the bolt action or DMR is very good at. And the Nov gen 3 mags are really good. I bought 5 of them for my mk23 and they're all amazing (I like having 5 pistol mags because MED means I use my pistols a lot); the screw in the baseplate for maintenance is so much better than the pin design that most pistol mags tend to have, and mine have all been gas tight since day one, even with me using propane through them. All I swapped was the gas routers for the Nineball purple ones I had in my other mags, but the feed lips work really well with my TM mk23 On 25/12/2024 at 12:34, Rogerborg said: If you can find a holster that can attach to molle (or are prepared to make it attach with paracord or cable ties or what-not) then I'd recommend a thigh panel as a compromise between belt and drop-leg. I find these ideal in both height and security for mounting, as you say, an SMG sized gat. Real-pretend world example (just add holster). And this is a really nice idea. Might try putting something similar together with one of my spare thigh panels as while the holster I have works great with the mp9, mp7 and mac11 (magazines in the pistol grip) it doesn't work for the mp5k so that is relegated to shoulder rig if I want to use it.
