Mr0161 Posted Sunday at 16:51 Share Posted Sunday at 16:51 Hi all, Got a bit of a strange issue with a brand new Gate Aster V2 Bluetooth I've just installed in a Cyma Platinum gearbox. Managed to narrow it down to it being something to do with the cycle detection. As i rotate the sector gear, when the teeth are along the bottom, about 10 degrees in rotation either way, it shows in the app the cycle detection flicking between Cam and Break even when the gear isn't rotating, which when in the AEG doesn't allow it to fire. I've tried 3 different sector gears, and tried shimming them to all different heights and cleaned the sensors with rubbing alcohol but the issue still persists. Any ideas what the issue is, or could I just have a faulty Aster? Cheers.
Supporters Lozart Posted Monday at 09:41 Supporters Share Posted Monday at 09:41 Check the shimming. If the gear is too high then the sensor will struggle to see the cam/break.
Mr0161 Posted Monday at 11:18 Author Share Posted Monday at 11:18 Already tried this with all different heights, going up 0.1mm at a time and then testing again to no avail. Also tried shifting the mosfet around the gearbox a little and still the same. I've opened up my G&G gearbox with the same mosfet to see what the cycle detection readings should look like in comparison.
