emilianoksa
Although the WE versions are regularly panned, the AW ones seem to be reasonable options for those who don't want to get into the TM plastic version. Is it simply because of better quality control? I assume they are internally pretty much the same since WE is said to make both.
Guest
I don’t know if WE, or some other company, is the umbrella. Certainly AW and WE have exactly the same spec, 100% of parts are interchangeable, but you can also say that about WE/Nuprol/Raven/Vorsk. With all of the AW & WE pistols I’ve disassembled, the parts are visually identical, same dimensions and appear to be the same materials. There does seem to be a difference in reliability, which I’ve always assumed to be down to better AW qc . I’ve seen the odd WE that is as good, maybe they are Monday morning guns? I’ve also seen the odd WE that is truly appalling, but never as bad as the Nuprol/Raven/Vorsk. On balance, I think AW are the same internal design and materials as WE, manufactured elsewhere, with generally flashier externals.
