We went to play at WM Airsoft in Rowley Regis yesterday. We were all sold on the free tea, coffee and toast :D

Finding it involves driving around a small trading estate and the car park is tiny - it held everyone's car that turned up though. The guys there are helpful and will get you squared away pretty quick. Only trouble is if you're there early you won't get out until the later arrivals move their cars.

Going up into the safe zone involves ascending a death defying steep wooden set of stairs. So if you have a few bags you might want to take a few trips rather than risk all in one.

The safety briefings are thorough. It's a 350fps semi site, no strikeable pyro (meaning impacts and timed only), but they do sell wire pull disposables. Red lazers are ok - no green.

When we played the first game the play area seemed pretty small. It's a converted factory style building with concrete floors and plywood build.  It's also very well lit, but only on a sunny day. There didn't seem to be any lighting, but roof lights and windows made it very bright. There is only one dark area. It might suit my play better to go on a particularly dark and dingy day - but it seems when we play indoors the weather is always great, go figure :D

It wasn't until the second game that I discovered that it's actually an L shaped play area and the other branch of the L is as big as the first. The strange thing about all of the game play though was that it all took place in the one wing of the L - other than the one game where the objective was to take that second wing. All of the objectives like laptops, targets and vip were all held in the fist wing. This made there very little reason to venture into the other wing unless that's where your regen was.

All in was a good day out. For us it was fairly local. So a very worth while trip.
