Tabitha
Afternoon, I think you might have answered my first ever question elsewhere but I want to be sure I'm not mistaken. I own an CM 025 MP5 (pre-UKARA/CPA act) so it's coloured as a RIF. I have a new rifle arriving soon, a Two-Tone CYMA CM506 M4 CQB RIS AEG. (See attached picture). Keeping it simple, what I'd like to know is can I actually upgrade/customise/remove and replace the blue stock and blue RIF housing around the barrel with other versions? Better battery, yep, motor, yep, magazine, yep. These I know. What I'm interested in is just going along the lines of what can be done with the real world version. Change the stock, the forward rails, metal sights for dropdown backup ones as I use a holo' HUD system already. I'm aware changing the colouring on a two tone is at best questionable and worse a breach of the ammended May 2017 act. I'm only wishing to basically bring it visibly closer to the MGS4 M4 CQB base version seen in the game. No skirmishing, no outside usage, just my own home and under my own operation. I'm brand new to the forum so apologise if I've asked a question that gets put out there at least one a week. Just to cover any questions ahead of them being asked: • Not an U18 youth, I'm in my late 30s. • No RIF license/Defense. (Use a crutch outside of house, long term medical illness. No chance of attaining either document.) • Not a foaming at the mouth crazy person prepping for the End of Days to come just so I can go and build myself up a harem of women and gynoids and be King of the mutants. That said, I live in a city famous for a specialist British military unit and I'm receiving treatment for PTSD, so not 100% sane either. • Best friend is a cat who taught me how to move silently and also how to lick my bum without toppling over off of my bed. Thanks for your help guys. Tabi
Guest
You can get UKARA registered, whatever your disability. I have mobility issues which restricts me to a walk, skirmishing is unlikely to work for me. BUT I am UKARA registered? How you ask? Shooting on a registered range counts, three times over sixty days, bingo, UKARA number. You can sit and shoot if you need to. You have to to have a defence to modify your IF to a RIF, even if it's just in your own home, no exclusions, sorry
Tabitha
Brilliant!! That's info I can use. Thanks. That you know of, can the stock and forward rail be changed? I don't mean sprayed a different colour, say the blue to the red, but swapped out? Now I am asking because I had seen and heard multiple times people talking about how the AR-15 / M4 rifle is the goto for customization?
Guest
Yes, it can. I switched out all of the CQB kit on my daughters ICS M4 for longer barrels, hand guards, extending stocks etc etc. Its currently away getting painted to match her pistol
Tabitha
That's great. Thank you for all of your help. I now know exactly what can and can't be done and where the line is drawn on the UKARA rules on alterations to a two-tone.

The rules for two-tone guns come from the VCRA and legislation. The UKARA is only a trade association that runs a database that players can get registered onto.
