Roundel91
I read somewhere that dettol original is very good for stripping paint off plastics without damaging them. Since i had a bottle in the kitchen and some paint i want to remove i thought id give it a go. I used neat dettol soaked into a rag and started lightly rubbing at the paint. These are the before and after photos https://imgur.com/gallery/0OBqa Took about 15 minutes to get the lower receiver back to black. Upper receiver is a little bit more of a pain but just requires more time, patience and a fair few cotton buds to get to the nooks and crannies. Very impressed if im being honest. Roundel91
Out of interest, what paint was on there before, Krylon, Tamiya..? I'm not sure what kind of paint was on there tbh as the gun was second hand and already painted when i bought it. I would hazard a guess that the paint was some sort of acrylic but i'm no guru in that area.
