wes
Hi one and all, Im looking for some advice on transporting my RIF's abroad. Im moving to Spain at the end of the year and would like to take my weapons with me. I will also be taking my brothers weapons so there will be quite a few! In the region of 8 electric rifles, 2 snipers and a couple of gas pistols. Im driving, using the tunnel, and will be passing through France and Switzerland on my way so there is going to be several border crossings. I am struggling to find a definitive answer on the legalities involved and would greatly appreciate any knowledge or just being pointed in the right direction to find out for myself. Thanks for reading this and for any help provided!
Cheeserush
My recommendation would be to look into the laws of each country (dont know how much free time you have) and ensure they all comply with each countrys law, be prepared for hassle as that will no doubt come with it especially France. But that's just my two cents.
wes
Thanks Cheeserush, i have tried to find out the legalities involved but have not had much luck, all seems very complex and not really specific to airsoft. If you know where i should look for the info please let me know. Your advice is appreciated though!
AshOnSnow
Don't forget to check the rules on bringing RIFs into spain from outside the EU! There also appears to be a rule change in place which affects the possession of weapons - both live firing and non-firing - since the Paris attacks. Not sure if Airsoft weapons get dragged into this rule. There does seem to be a requirement to register airsoft guns at Weapon 4 status with the local Guardia Civil (not the local police), with Manufacturer, Model and Serial numbers.
