Well thing is, I started to spend shite loads of money before even going into my first skirmish, to be honest I felt better having my own equipment than renting from the site, my Polish Helikon really did the job, especially when sliding to get to cover xD

Already spend £89 for 5.11 Tactical Trainers and £12 for helmet cover, to be honest thank god that I had a the Helikon Patrol Cap because got hit in head multiple times but with it I didnt feel a pinch but when got hit in the arm... God that did sting in first seconds xD

My first hit was in the head right in the semi circle of the baseball cap I had on backwards. Stings a bit but the adrenalin takes that away when you start getting kills of your own.

I already booked up for the 3 day weekend event in a couple of weeks, I can see some cash being spend over those days....

Now that my holiday is coming up from work I might go for another one but biggest problem when you go airsofting I've seen is the amount of heat there was on Saturday, really did not enjoy that amount, my safety glasses even with anti-fog cloth kept on getting fogged up from steam of my face xD

best advice i can give you now if you have ya own toy gun is to research your weapons gearbox type and dissasemberly vedios on youtube (such as mechbox.com youtube vedios about your guns gearbox) and then check out airsoft tutoraials website for a more uptodate guids on shimming and the mystical AOE and mosfetting and other tinkering things. as with all toys guns they will break down and half the fun of owning one it tinkering ;D

Don't d!ck around with Boots, Beermonster. Get this while it's available so cheap.

Not to be a d!ck myself, but I did tell you about lens fogging, Alphabet! ;):P

I realise that people who love their gucci eyepro find it necessary to perpetuate the myth that it's hot breath going up that causes fogging, because, once they've spent all that money, they can't bring themselves to accept that any goggles with lenses and no fan are bollocks. The truth is, as you have discovered, it's simply sweating that does it. How did you get on with your eyepro, Beermonster?

Oh yeah, and tactical trainers may just about do it for CQB, depending on how much stuff, like rubble, rubbish, loose BB's, etc. there is on the floor, but really you should get boots that support your ankles. They are essential for woodland games.

Only slight fogging early in the morning when the glasses were virgin out the box no spray and only happens if you look down so I learnt not to look down to much. I did add some anti mist spray and I guess it helped I had no major fogging problems later in the day even though in the heat I was sweating like a dyslexic on countdown so everything was full of water.

The cheapo Viper goggles were better than the would be expensive Bolle ones so glad I did not pay for those.

Thanks for the heads up on the bug stuff I will order now with some other bits, need new boots as my old Burghaus walking boots were not up to the job and the soles came away at the toe on both so they are in the bin now.

Sorry Nam we hijacked your thread here.

Ian we did and I have a few left to sell off but not in my size. Think I will just get a pair of the Viper multicam's, colour is a little g'hay for my liking but everyone wearing them yesterday said they were good.

I believe they will be good enough, I have similar trainers to the 5.11 tactical and It was all good and felt comfortable so with 5.11 it will be better + I do not like those big ass shoes, already wearing ones with metal at work xD

But one thing was screwed up is that my lenses... I think they placed someone else prescription in it because I felt like my FOV was changed or something lol, when I look at my legs or at someone they looked like they were 5 years old size and my normal glasses everything looked better, gonna have holiday for 2 weeks on 14th gonna go and try to get that changed, its dangerous with some random FOV change, I didnt know where there was a big step to jump over lol

Oh sh!t, that sounds bad, Alphabet! The lenses couldn't be facing the wrong way, could they? That's what it sounds like - making everything smaller instead of bigger...

Oh yeah, and @Beermonster: MC boots "a bit g'hay" - well put, sir. Very well put!

They surely could of make that mistake but those buggers probably will try to rip me off from money just to change sides
