kev.k
I bought a cheap eotech 557 clone today. I'm pleasantly surprised overall, but its not the tightest fit. I was gonna pad it out with some insulation tape. Anyone got a less "crude" suggestion? Cheers
Tariq
As in it wobbles where it attaches to the rail? What method does it attach? QD or screw on? etc
kev.k
Yes, it wobbles slightly. It's screw on. I could have got QD but I thought that would be the more likely to wobble with it being a Chinese knock off.
Tariq
You can usually tighten the QD ones so they fit snugly. Screw on in theory i though is just screw on until tight.
kev.k
I can't tighten it anymore. It works surprisingly well, but the build quality is what you'd expect. It wobbles a bit.
Supporters TPI Posted March 13, 2013 Supporters Share Posted March 13, 2013 Which way up and down the rail or side to side?
kev.k
A bit of both. It won't tighten anymore. The base isn't perfectly level. Think I'll have to pack it out with something, can't see any other option.

kev.k
I don't know if these are any good? The screw on clasp doesn't tighten against the rail properly when fully tightened if that makes sense? Sorry bout the huge pics. Used my ipad. lethaldave
have you tried a washer/spacer behind the nut?
kev.k
I've solved it by sticking some black draught excluder tape to the bottom of the sight, in the channel that sits on top of the rail.
