AirsoftTed
Hi guys, Well I'm a complete newb to the sport and the only "kit" I have is a revovler. The thing is, I've not long turnt 16, but I'm very mature and eager to get into the sport however, with regards to purchasing a primary, should I? I understand from what I've read that if you're over 18 the norm is to rent for your first 3 games but I imagine in my position this could rack up quite a bill, therefore I'm guessing my best bet is to go with a two-tone? Any advice on what to go with in terms of the gun aswell as kit I need to get would be greatly appreciated- if it helps I've looked into my local sites and theyre all urban/CQB. Thank you in advance for any feedback! Teddy.
Suzuki Yamamoto
Welcome TeddyBhoy, a good starting point would be to have a read of this guide first. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/?showtopic=3779 It's a terrific starting point for someone getting into Airsoft and Marksman556 has done a great job on that guide. AirsoftTed
No probs. What skirmish sites are you thinking of going to? So far I've only really seen Area 51 and FCS, I don't like the look of area 51 but I'm considering FCS. Can you recommend any?

Can you recommend any? I'd recommend Bunker 51 which is run by Wolf Armouries or TWA which has two sites, one Urban and one Woodland. Bunker 51 and TWA Urban are both CQB sites. Wolf Armouries Tactical Warfare Airsoft Both of them have their own shops and websites to purchase from too.

Thank you in advance for any feedback! Teddy. Unless one of your parents also takes up skirmishing then they will only be able to buy you a two-tome. It would make sense to get them to buy you one rather than hire as it will save in the longer term. Best to have a look to see what type of gun appeals to you - g36, m4, akf etc and then people on the forum will be able to steer you towards the best ones. If you are close to an airsoft shop then it is worth going in with a parent to hold the guns to see what suits you best. Ideally you want a shop that offers a paint service as otherwise they will know you can not buy from them.
