Hi everyone

To be honest, I have very little knowledge on this sort of thing but I'm interested in getting involved and learning. I don't yet own a gun, but hopefully this is where you guys could help me. My price range is low, anything up to £65. I understand it would have to be two-toned and I've looked at a few pistols on a few different websites but the obvious better ones are well in excess of £100. I'll link the website and the pistols that I was considering purchasing. I would like you to tell me if I have right the idea on what to begin with or if I'm way off the mark, and if so, what deals you know about yourself that could help me out.

Thanks for taking your time to read this.

The best website I have come across so far for my budget is - http://www.airsoftworld.net

The first pistol: iSoft® Two-Tone P45 Match Gas BB gun - http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/t...gas-bb-gun.html

The second pistol: iSoft® Two-Tone Mk23 Assassin Gas BB gun - http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/t...gas-bb-gun.html

Anything TM is good. Keep it plastic, keep it real- man. B)

They will use the least gas per shot and work in the cooler climates.

£65 might buy you a TM M92f with a mag 2nd hand. :)

Hello mate,

You've come to right place for advice. I have recently joined this forum site and everyone has been extremely helpful. I have also only recently started getting my airsoft armoury together and I could point you in the right direction for a first airsoft gun.

http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/index.php?cPath=267_314 (i use this website a lot. Very well known.)

It's hard to find good sites with pistols for sale not knowing exactly what you want. But you should do what I did and visit some of the best airsoft manufacturers website's. See their full ranges and will give you a better base for searching google.

Here are a few:

http://www.guay2.com (G&G)

http://kwausa.com/

http://ca.classicarmy.com/

There are a lot more but these will give you an idea. I realize they are American sites by the way.

All the best,

Chris

You want the metal, heavy pistols man! Make you feel like your holding the real thing!

I got a strange version of an M92f from a weapons fair called a "SIG93" :blink:

It has got a lot of metal on it and is gas blowback. Got it for £75. Non two-tone :o I don't think the guy selling really knew what he was doing.

Very powerful and rugged for the money. Wish i knew the manufacturer though! Anyone?

Chris

Unless you're loaded, I'd save your money and get other stuff 1st, in this order:

Waterproof boots + insoles & socks + any other system you need to be able to wear them comfortably for 6hrs minimum;

Eye protection that doesn't steam up, slip, or obscure your ability to sight down an AEG barrel;

Comfortable Loadout - either woodland, urban, or black depending on your fav local site;

Lower face protection or gumshield;

Armoured/padded gloves that fit properly;

Your first AEG + at least 1 spare mag;

Webbing/chest rig/tactical vest/belt rig + any extra and/or drop-leg pouches you may need to fit your size of mag into & water to drink in the field (or a camel);

A good bag/s or bergen to carry your airsoft gear and AEG + ammo in;

Knee pads & consider elbow pads also;

More mags...

Dump pouch;

Now think about a pistol, but maybe get comms & a headset 1st!?!

I'm pretty new to it and I've bought loads of crap that I didn't need or turned out to be nowhere near as useful or cool as I thought. The only thing I didn't waste money on was an expensive pistol, simply because I noticed a few veterans saying they don't often use them and hearing 'mare stories about leaking mags, cracked slides, replacing springs trying to make it work in cold weather, etc. Having got myself sorted with everything on that list and a 2nd AEG, I then took a punt on a plastic NBB pistol (Palco Firepower Raider CO2 - see my review in Review Section) for £35 new!

I think I might get a full metal Berretta 92FS (for nostalgic reasons) one day, but I'm planning a 3rd AEG custom build before that...

Edit to add: some camo waterproofs might be a good idea too; I've got Goretex DPM kecks and they let me skirmish in absolutely any conditions (my top gets too hot to need keeping dry when I'm skirmishing).

In my opinion I think you're better off getting your gun first because it doesn't really matter what you look like in airsoft so you don't have to buy all your kit first (get it later) whereas if you've got your gun and good face protection you can play with your own stuff (and you don't have to hire all the time)

Get some DPM trousers or something, good protection (it's the most important part of your kit) and your gun.

You can get a Palco C02 USP from Patrol Base for £40 (£55 two-toned)

It is not very realistic because you slide does not come back, and it is not metal, but personally I don't care because it is a great price and has good performance.

But if you can get a TM M92F for £65, go for it. I've never had one myself but everybody says Tokyo Marui guns are really good.

Alternatively, I'd also reccommend an ASG Skorpion. They're £70/£80 I think, and you can buy a 360 round drug magazine from Airsoft-Club (Chinese website, and it takes like two weeks to be delivered but it's cheap, will be about £8 in total)
