Supporters Richard65 Posted August 7, 2012 Supporters Share Posted August 7, 2012 Hi, After doing a few skirmishes with hired guns I now want to buy by own. I like the look and feel of the M4s and quite like the G&G top tech TR16 Ranger but one shop said that M4s are not ideal as first guns - being more prone to go wrong. They suggested the SRC SR36c as being far more reliable (and cheaper). Do you have any views about the reliabilty of M4s and top tech in particular? many thanks. Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted August 7, 2012 Supporters Share Posted August 7, 2012 Not sure what your site are on about. M4s are the most common form of AEG by an absolute mile. Everyone has them. That means that there's more parts available if they go wrong, and because there's so many, pretty much every company has enough experience to build them flawlessly from the off. G&G's Top Tech guns are literally flawless. If you get one you'll be nothing but impressed and not to mention very happy too. I have a Top Tech MP5, had it for over a year and to this day it's the only gun I've never felt the need to upgrade at all. I'd say go for it. G&P, ICS and G&G will be your best bet for an M4. The SRC Gen3 G36s are good too, they're not lying there, but parts are more readily available for M4 platforms. The G&Ps being the easiest to upgrade as they have the most parts compatibility. Happy hunting. Buying a new gun is the most exciting thing about airsoft
