Hey iv been looking at the king arms sig 556 but stumbled across a thread on a forum denoting that they suffer from a weak built gear box. It said something along the lines of the rear of the gear box is to thin and brittle so breaks easy and so does the the part where it connects to the stock. I cant find anything any where to refute this so was wondering if any owners/members/ techs knew other wise ?

This is just a guess, but from the look and layout of the Sig rifles, I'm guessing they use a version 2 gearbox. So if there are any problems there are almost infinite numbers of alternate parts you can buy to upgrade, so if anything does break, you can sort it out for probably about £40 tops if you know what you're doing.

Same things apply to the V3 as well, everything is replaceable, I'd say go for it.

It might end up being fine and all the things you've heard are just one person's bad experience that people spread around so much that it became considered gospel.
