What have you made?

My Cyma M052, modified to fit tag shells, and now given a facelift.

The paint job has been on it since just after I bought it. Last week I made a wood grip from scratch.

ConsideringI've not done woodwork since school in pretty pleased with how it's turned out.

Out of interest what did you need to modify to get it to fire tag shells?

A file or a Dremel. That's all.

Inside the main chamber there's a lip. This lip prevents moscarts from falling out of the barrel.

If you file down the lip tag shells will fit in nice and snug. Of course this means that if you try and use moscarts again they may fall out, so useless for them.

Make sure you grind it off evenly, so the tag shell sits centralised in the chamber.

Been using it for about a year with this modification and it works perfectly.

Hmm seems odd, only ask as I got an m052 last year and I've been shooting tags from it fine without any issues and didn't need to modify anything. Wounder if there was a change in design since.

Must have been. My friend just bought one and I had to file his too.

Maybe they changed it as they realised people want to use tags in them.

So, as can be seen in THIS POST, I bought a crappy cheap mandible for my helmet.

It did not go well.

However, I was able to salvage the arms that attached the mandible to the helmet rail, and I had an old mask that I've never used knocking around.

Some measuring, fiberglass paste, sanding, more measuring, drilling and finally painting.....

Great work mate, I bet you look like Predator with your dreads hanging out the back.

Anyone here with 3D modelling skills/software/maybe a printer open to small commissions?  I'm after a rail converter that slides on to picatinny but has NATO dovetail on top.

edit - cancel that ?  I went through quite a few pages of google, thought they didn't exist then found one on eBay.  Soz @Speedbird_666

Finished crafting a ghilie cape. Taken ages but I'm happy with it.
The hood I already had and have used a few times

I bought a cape that clips to the hood and have foliaged the shiz out of that mofo. Could possibly use a little more but it'll do for now.
Testing it this Sunday.

Nice.

Not sure about the branches sticking out in second pic. Birds might perch on them. ?

Been working on more EPM-1S shells, this time to make them look like M16 VN 20 round mags. Can be printed in one piece, with no additional hardware needed. As close to plug and play as I have come with a design as of yet. V1 was an attempt at adapting my 417 EPM-1S to fit, and was dropped early. V2 was a shell to test general fit. V3 fixed the internal dimensions to allow the EPM-1S to slide in fully - the print failed at about the 85% mark but it still allowed me to test dimensions so I still count it as a success. V4 was the initial "production" model, with the appropriate slots in the mag to make it look like a VN mag. A bottom floorplate was added for the EPM-1S bolt and plunger. The mag catch recession was shrunken to fit within the slots. After printing I confirmed V4 is a working model and I could stop there, but there were a few small details to be added. These included moving the bolt hole 1.9mm forward to align better with the hole in the mag itself, and the plunger recession was modified to fit the more ovular nature of the plunger.
