What grinds your gears on forums

My mate can't answer it she goes to a different school. She is real though shut up.

Threads where the OP asks "what do you think of my....." followed by "please don't judge".

First of all asking for opinions on something is asking for judgement. Second, if your ego is that fragile that you don't want any negative opinions then maybe don't ask for people's opinions and last but by no means least, if you're happy with your kit then what the hell does it matter what other people think?

followed by "please don't judge".

That really grinds my gears. It's like someone admitted they'd done something taboo or downright reprehensible but they ask you not to judge them because they deserved to be condemned.

Some people have very sheltered lives not to understand that especially when it comes to your own decisions, you're going to be judged. Some are more constructive than others when they're critical but you're going to be judged regardless.

To me it just comes across as asking for their ego to be stroked. Don't get me wrong, I know we all get a little happy when a picture gets a like or positive comment but this to me just looks like begging for attention.

When they've done that it's just low level trolling and unfortunately too many people take the bait (which can be funny at times, I remember when someone posted on the red-alliance forum about their Russian modern warfare 3 loadout. Seeing the purists loose their shit over obvious ragebait was hilarious).

Honestly the weird thing on that note is seeing kids posting like, "roast me bros I can take it bros just roast me mate," with like a catastrophically mid loadout and I start to wonder if it's a weird masochistic thing they do these days.

I'm so glad I grew up in the era of internet where you didn't post face or name, it would've been a disaster.

It reay pees me off when peope post repies, other people refernce it then then they delete the original post! You read the quited post and realised that you've missed something and have to go back to see what you've missed ony to reaise that its been deeted!!!!

Like on this thread! Colin quoted it and I thought I had completely switched off and missed a chunk!!!!

Another one that gets me annoyed. Finding the exact thing you were looking so you know what the price to buy or sell it at, or go back and remember the specs or package you bought. OP edits the post and writes "Sold"

When I want to browse preowned pews I know I don’t need but the website says “Something went wrong. Please try again.” ?

People who post or pm questions about your sales thread than you answer then they just vanish.  Or even worse say they'll` take it then you never hear from them again.  It just plain bad manners.

People selling who've neglected to read the Paypal T&C's, where it explicitly says the seller is responsible for the fees, and trying to pass that on to the Buyer.

Seriously, it takes half a second to calculate it and factor it in to your costs.

As a buyer I always offer to cover the fee's if I make a lower offer, 9 times out of 10 it works, have never had anyone offer it in return but then I had someone send me the money for a pistol I sold recently via F&F which took my by surprise I must admit, I put it on a quicker postal service in return so we both benefitted from it.

Fee's do get expensive above £200 so I can understand why sellers try to put it on the buyer but like you say, 10 seconds on Google gives you the fee total and can adjust price accordingly.

The best part of that is the way the poster managed to spell it correctly in the description but not the title or specs
