Tokyo Marui Evolt AEG System

It's an observational satire about how every single thread where any new product that costs a fair bit results in the exact same boringly predictable price rants, because people get riled up in the exact same way every single time an expensive release is announced. I'm not defending the product from a perspective of saying it's totally great value, it very, very obviously isn't good value if you just want to go out and shoot bbs in the woods, for the exact reasons you outlined. Everyone already knows that. There are 1000 AEGs on the market that already provide a cost effective way to go and skirmish.

No that's why I said "long out of production".
You seem to have missed the point again. Nobody is getting riled up about anything; neither are they ranting.

That's fair, I personally go for a much smaller number of fancier RIFs and use them more often. I also like stuff like gas blowback, steel construction, realistic furniture, etc, etc.

I'm not all that interested in a gun that shoots the same as ever other gun in my collection and just has different shells.

But then that's just my taste. There's probably people who will buy up the entire EVOLT stock on release and some of them might even love it.

I'm somewhat the opposite - I like the variety of appearances and styles, despite many of them having (largely) the same internals. Running an averagely performing e.g. MP40 one game, and an averagely performing, say Cyma M16a1 the next gives me more pleasure than, using one of my better performing AEGs game after game. For that reason I tend to buy the low to mid range guns, tinker a little with the internals, and just cycle through my collection. A bit of variety in the form of bolt actions every now and then (again cheap to mid range WW2 rifles, gently breathed upon, rather than high end expensive performers).

I'm sure this new TM release is very not aimed at people like me!
