Tokyo Marui Evolt AEG System

Mariu's take on a GBLS DAS then?  Since becoming a cork-sniffing elitist GBBR user I've lost any interest in AEGs, but I must admit this does look interesting.  I'm not going to hope the blow-back is any better than the NGRS but I could go for a 'mechanically correct' AEG with Marui workmanship as a winter backup to gas guns or for days when I just want a quick run-around and can't be bothered with the faff.

I guess a sort of DAS light maybe? I'm pretty much the same. I run GBB as much as I can and I have a DAS that I use when it's cold/miserable out, which is actually about half the year...

If you look at the 15:57 mark in the video It shows the weight used in the recoil system. It looks too large to be inside the main reciever and it has a small round indent in the front. I believe it will be a rod coming back from the piston to move it in the buffer tube. I dont see any other way that shape and size of weight could be fit inside the gun.

You're right. Rewatching the original show video at 27 mins it says "Since the FPR MkIV has the recoil mechanism inside the buffer tube, the battery is stored in the crane stock rather than inside the buffer tube".

I was pondering this too (when i saw the released stuff last week) and the biggest give away was the different stock.

Even though I am kinda drifting away from airsoft (towards RS shooting) I think the lure of being a TM fanboi means I am watching this with great interest. I would be interested to see how well 3rd parties take to this - will it be the same way they flocked around the Hi-capa, the VSR and MWS making them the de-facto thing for at least a while or will it just kinda drift along like the DAS and Systema, being "just" an alternative with a niche following.
